Yep genuine leatherman, each type of leatherman has there own name, this one happens to be called Style PS.

Its not a leatherman style mutlitool

I don't think I would want to wait inline at Manchester airport security with that in my trouser pocket ,your chances of getting on a plane with it are zero
I have even had Tsa approved travel locks that have been snipped off with bolt cutters ,and that was in the USA

leatherman.com/s/l…ols
the link above takes you to the leatherman website ,the multitool above is at the very bottom of the page ,so it appears this is the genuine article and maybe somebody owes someone an apology
heat for post

I have to agree, I travel and work at lot at airports and the staff may be blissfully unaware that this is TSA approved assuming they even know what that means (no offense to any airport security staff here!)

Nail file????

TSA friendly so no knife but has scissors could do some damage in the wrong hands... as could the tweezers..or a whack from the pliers...and the damage an actual person could do on their own.

If the A-Team had one of these they could probably take apart the aircraft and turn it into something else mid-flight! But B.A. would be sedated because he'll say "I ain't getting on no plane fool".

Yep - the sad truth is that many of the drones at airport security have no idea of the actual rules and regulations and will just confiscate anything that they deem not to be allowed. Don't like their decision and refuse to hand it over? - Say hello to an interview room for a couple of hours and forget about flying that day.

As everyone is so brainwashed by the media about their security (which the authorities take full advantage of to introduce ever more assinine and intrustive 'security measures'), you have absolutely no comeback. Welcome to the brave new world.

You could use the nail file to sharpen a plastic spoon and hijack the plane though!

Yeah , i got my Leatherman Wingman for £27 via Amazon US

Tried to order the Charge TTi direct from amazon and says that it can't be delivered to my address, $118 roughly £75 on amazon US but it's £130+ on amazon UK

Original Poster

Leatherman says it is travel freindly but I would always take an envelope with me to send it back if it doesn't go through.
It seem's like airport security is more a poker game than anything else. You can get through with it 10 times and the next time you are treated like they discovered another shoe-bomber.
However, with amazon US there seems to be no rule what they deliver or not. Some of the other Leatherman products work and are cheaper even when delivery and tax is included than with amazon UK. Some leatherman they don't deliver for whatever reason.Other products the same, I tried to order a Fenix E15 torch which went through but the Fenix E05 didn't work. Unfortunately, only the E05 was much cheaper than here in UK.
