Just noticed Leatherman Squirt also available £13.19.

I'm not trying to knock this deal, but I can't see much to recommend this tool in place of something like the Gerber Suspension which seems to go for about £19. Am I missing something?

Is this legal to carry around?

Edited scratch that seen the link to correct price

This is back up to £46.95 now

Leatherman brand seems to be preferred by most people for myriad reasons. Search Leatherman v Gerber and read various forum posts.

In this particular case, Gerber Suspension is not UK street legal because of locking blade whereas Juice is legal to carry although could still be deemed an offensive weapon.

Just the quality of tool really.

I have the Gerber Bear Grylls Ultimate Multitool (The susspension in a different skin) and it's great, but a Leatherman would last much longer and probably bit a little more capable at the tasks you ask it to do.

Yes it is.

Buy from Amazon and still there at £28.79. Main link does not return Amazon as first seller, need to look at other sellers.

Don't understand why leatherman never included scissors with this model.

If it's just personal opinion then fair enough, I have to admit I've not owned a Leatherman but I've had Gerbers for several years now and the worst problem I've had was a bit of surface rust - though as I mostly use them for (salt water) sailing I wouldn't really fault it on that basis, I had been abusing it a bit. Of course the important bit with all multi tools is to recognise their limitations and use the proper tool when required!

Its £46.95 again now

The S2 Juice has scissors instead of a a cork screw.

I've had a Juice Pro since 2005 and other than needing a clean it works as well as the day I bought it.

Multi-tool LAW

Very popular with Police and other professional services, they offer blade(s), screwdrivers, pliers, bottle openers (useful for pouring away drink taken off minors) etc.
One thing to be wary of is a growing number feature a locking primary blade, so you are back to needing LA or RE for public carry.
If you want a quality tool that satisfies the law, the Leatherman Juice range all feature non-locking blades and tools

RE = Reasonable Excuse, but what's LA?

I would be interested to know too. I've heard nothing but great things about this tool.

Maybe you got a faulty tool?

It was just cheap and nasty compared to a Swiss Army knife. It is also massively overpriced at £29. Compared to quality tools like Bahco this wasn't even in the ball park.
