This is pretty much the cheapest I have ever seen this for, decent tool too. They are usually around the £60 mark when reduced.

Its worth knowing that if you have a UK amazon account you can use it to buy things on the Amazon US site. Usually its not worthwhile but with Leatherman products they're often less in $ than they are in £ over here, and with the exchange rate that makes a big difference.

Case in point you can buy this Leatherman Juice S2 for £41.64 delivered including delivery charges and import tax. OK, delivery time states up to 3 weeks, but personally i bought a similar leatherman before Christmas and it turned up in 4 working days!
You can get these cheaper in the US but remember that when having something delivered the postal service will take between £10-£15 to process your VAT / Customs charges which are based on the full cost including postage. You will also have the hassle of dealing / paying customs, delaying your product further once it's in the UK. You will have to do very well to beat this price.

There's no Duty charged on items under £135 from the US if it's merchandise. Gifts over £15 attract duty. Even so, duty is only charged on the value of the item excluding postage. VAT is applied including postage.

You, are welcome.
If its by UPS you normally have to pay an Admin fee of £10 in addition to the Import Duty charge...

What's the definition of merchandise as opposed to a Gift ? any merchandise can be a Gift if you choose to make it that ?

So you pay in the region of £6-7 Vat and a £10 processing fee, £5 p&p on top of £30 for the tool which makes it more expensive than the UK price..
It gets sent by Royal Mail rather than UPS and the import Fee's are calculated as part of the price and taken by Amazon. I can only speak from personal experience but there werent any hold ups or extra fee's and the delivery time was pretty damn quick given the distance (and Royal Mails involvement...)

Obviously theres an element of risk involved and if you're concerned about extra fee's then don't bother - personally theres so little in the price difference on this deal that i'd buy from Amazon UK for the swiftness and security anyway, but figured it was worth mentioning for anyones future reference as on the majority of Leatherman products theres money to be saved this way on their standard UK prices.
