Went to Poundland yesterday and bought the Lebara sim card for a £1. A get £10 off promo code was included in effect allowing one to get 6Gb unlim min & text's plus 100 international minutes for a £1. 8Gb was also available but with unlimited international minutes for £5 after promo code.

Is this definitely the ongoing price?

Voted hot even if it isn't. Should get very hot in here.
good deal
Ordered, thanks

It’s Lyca or Lebara who do 500 UK minutes and 500 international minutes £10 a month plus data on top. Works in Asia so not sure what other countries or what package it’s called
Does the UK minutes include calls to mobiles?
Thanks, seems OK will look into this.
Does this also cover any Roaming?

They should increase the allowance of international mins minimum to 500mins then everyone would move to Lebara and it would be hooooot

Yes, calls to 01, 02, 03, 07 (UK national calls)

International calling is dying. I use WhatsApp to call anyone outside UK.
Bit messy if you already a Lebara customer, they will not move you to "special" deals so need to find a quick route to a payg provider and port back on to the MSE deal.I did this for the £5 deal when they changed it to allow unlimited calls.

Yes , EU roaming included
Heat added. Ordered!
Good data allowance and 100 intl mins is ideal for my calling.
Parent company vodafone which has good coverage at my place.

True but quite often whatsapp and Skype has a lot of voice delay on calls.

Vodafone doesn't own Lebara. Lebara are a MVNO buying wholesale capacity.
During lockdown my provider has upped my data to 10gb + unltd mins and texts all for £6. Believe others have done likewise, so might as well hold fire on any deals.

No comparison really, WhatsApp quality sucks a lot of time, much better to use the provided free INT mins and have a decent conversation without having to reconnect and repeat everything.
Sadly no VoLTE or DATA ROLLOVER !
Most of the counties are already included in free EU roaming/calling. Can see the occasional India there, but most callers to that place would be using WhatsApp already.

Would have voted hot if calling to African countries was there, otherwise the "international" tag is quite misleading. We are still in EU, so it's all still technically local calls to rest of EU.

Text PAC to 65075
Try and obtain a free pay and go sim card if you do not have one ,example from vodafone.co.uk or 02.co.uk, i used voxi as the samsung s10e from argos had one included with the handset,no extra charge.
Move your lebara number over to the new network, wait about 48 hours after your number ports over and then request pac code from your new provider (Text PAC to 65075) PAC code should arrive within minutes
Sign up with the new deal you want from lebara
Then submit PAC code to them via CHAT to keep your number
You may also get a £10 bonus credit once your number ports over unless of course you already ported over same number originally to lebara in which case highly unlikely you would get the £10 credit again.

Does anyone know if calling Lebara mobile from other networks is included in the monthly allowance of minutes. I read somewhere that calls to lebara/lyca/vectone are being charged to other network users and are not coming out of their allowance.

Not anymore. That's was back in the days. Ofcom stopped thst
Good deal but can i use the 100 international minutes on mobile as well as landline numbers I cant see that written anywhere. I remember that some years ago I could only call on land line number as mobile numbers were charged.

I have called mobile numbers in Eire and they are included. Lebara does not make it clear on their website and you are correct, some years ago only landlines where included.

Rubbish , very few providers offer inclusive calls to international numbers. Last time I checked, you need a passport for everywhere except the Republic of Ireland - so all are international.

As for 4G/ Wifi calling etc, Vodafone don't even offer them to their own Prepay/Voxi customers.

Reports say yes, seems EE is the biggest if not only culprit of MVNO nonsense, time Ofcom stepped up with that, VoLTE & WiFi Calling access as standard.

+1 on the EE nonsense! I'm not 100% sure what frequency is missing from the Plusnet lineup but it's the difference between a good 3 bars signal on a standard EE sim and nothing to 1 bar with Plusnet. Why that's a thing I'm not sure?

Band 20 800Mhz is lower speed data which is the default entry frequency for VoLTE/HD Calling (can be rolled out on others). Ironic as a internal BT company PN sims are the only ones barred access in house ??

Band 3 1800Mhz is high speed data, signal v speed, signal travels less, data speed faster.
