LED Bulbs - Various Types - £1 Poundland

31
Found 9th Feb 2015
LED Bulbs, available at just (you guessed it) £50. Nah, kidding. £1 in Poundland.

They appeared to be all 3W bulbs, handy for not often used rooms, in a spotlight setup or a side light/table light.

Bayonet Candle BC22
Bayonet Golfball BC22

Edison Screw E14
Edison Golf Bulb E14

All the bulbs are 3000K, so warm white and transparent, not frosted glass.
Edit: And SMD LED (Flat LED's basically) so brighter than normal old style ones.

These are definitely good quality, they appear to be made by status: statusinternationaluk.co.uk

If they are made by Status for Poundland they may be ok but I similar from Aldi made by Status and tbh had issues and they failed within 6 months. For a quid worth a punt.

Hope they in pound land Coalville I'm going Wednesday

Not a bad find in the pound-shop-shuffle!

I bought some of these yesterday, they are certainly nice and bright and the boxes have Status on them so a fairly decent make. I've replaced 2 ceiling lights that had 3x60w normal candle bulbs in so 9w instead of 180w per light! Let's hope they last.

Had mine on for a few days now seems fine and brighter than i thought.

Are these suitable for large rooms or only small areas?

Couldn't find any at my local in Northampton:(.

Picked these up today. Ring up the branch before to check on stock level before. Very impressed with the brightness and especially the price. Never seen them this cheap.

if you have more than one, they're OK. I have 3 in my kitchen. One is a bit dull for a room light.

Heat added. Very good for lamps, under cupboard lighting and wall lights. Good find!

Got some SES cap 3W candle bulbs earlier too, from Trongate, Glasgow. Impressed with them actually, my first LED bulbs. I had 25W halogen candle bulbs in the six-light fitting before, and these LEDs are brighter.

Have some of the Sunbeam 1 watt still working after a few years of light use.

Just bought it as a night light for my son's room - great!

This was posted a week ago originally, so they might have sold out in some stores.

Don't know if this helps but in the Poundland near me they weren't with the other halogen lamps, they had a section at the end of an aisle.

Great find, wish my local Poundland had these in, I've got 6 x 60W of the candle types on my landing and everytime they get switched on i just see the pound signs adding up oO

direct link hopefully

poundland.co.uk/cat…ite brings up all the bulbs, good to know they're on their website. Will pick up more if I can find any!

Thanks, picked up one of both styles with Bayonet connector. They produce a very similar volume of light output to a standard 8w energy saver, but in a narrower field- the beam does not spread as much (which isn't a problem if you're using a lightshade!) and the beauty of these is that due to being LED, they're instant-on to full brightness.

They produce a warm light, very similar to that of a 'warm' energy saver. Well worth a quid! Will get some backups when I get a chance.

These do a fantastic job of replacing the spot light bulb in the bedroom, bathroom and down stairs sh*tter
