I plan to use it in my backyard. I guess it comes under their description of 'building facades'

These are very good. Bought a white one a few months ago. Good quality and bright. Note the wire tail cannot be removed, so you will need a junction box or as I did wire streight into a PIR. Also worth noting - don't unscrew the bracket. Many screws nuts and washers ping out everywhere.

Great quality these, posted this a while back, better than the naff eBay ones

shame no PIR.

Why can't the tails be removed? Are they soldered?

If it's the same as the one I bought the backs not removable and the glass is bonded in

That's because there is no bulb to replace, you basically bin it when the LED goes

Richiano whom works in this field recommended this floodlight - available white or black when I posted: hotukdeals.com/dea…797

I have to agree with him, this Osram lights seems much better value, yes twice the price but almost twice the brightness and of probably a higher quality.

Please for the love of ***
avoid similar products from ebay, etc as the earth wires are unreliably connected if at all!

Anyway to wire this to run off a generator hookup line? Need one at work and use a Genny for the other bits and bobs to can split out as not near capacity but how to wire this to it?? Thank you if anyone know

Purchased one with a seperate PIR from Screwfix not so long ago. The LED Floodlight is lightly illuminated 24/7 as the PIR probably leaks voltage.

I need another 2 more for the front of the property, maybe 1 with a PIR built in (however must come with flex) another with a Seperate PIR/Light.

Any ideas?

Tails are crimped and it would be difficult to remove and recrimp them. I am told they do this to maintain IP integrity and if you do cut the crimps off you have voided the warranty.

I tried. I unscrewed the back (many screws) but found its all bonded. You would have to rip the whole thing apart.

Can this be used for the back garden patio area? I saw an LED light unit with PIR in Lidl....so what is the difference?

Can anyone help?

PIR (passive infra red) switches the light on when it detects movement and switches off after a set time, so ideal as security light. I note this one is only 3000k which refers to the Kelvin scale of light colour, 3000k is a very yellow light. 6000k or more gives a much whiter light which is what I would look for.

No. You will need an external junction box, or there's just enough flex to make it through a cavity wall.

Ok cheers

i'm a lighting designer and while osram isnt probably well know, its know good brand also 100 lumens per watt seems a good chip if they are not over powering it
