Can't go wrong for that price!

The Homebase site is down at the mo! But heat added. Great Deal

Waste of effort attaching these to your bike. Not worth a pound.

Managed to get on to the site but no stock in Northern Ireland and dont deliver here either unfortunately.Otherwise a great deal.

Not worth taking them out the packaging because they are so useless. Why would you spend a few quid on a bike and then adorn it with this junk?

Original Poster

it was £5 just because the price is really low doesn't mean it is rubbish.

That is true, but these lights are rubbish. This is a pound shop product that you have found on the shelves of Homebase, a store that overprices everything.

I picked up mine today and they are perfect! easy to fit and quality ok for the price....

Waste of effort you making moronic comments, not worth a look.

Could quite easily prevent you being knocked off your bike and sustaining serious injury or worse if you are one of the idiots that rides around at night without any lights at all.
So yes they are worth a pound or £1.27, even if they are temporary

carp lights are as useless as no lights at all. You wouldn't drive a car in the dark on just the parking lights would you?

Will probably fall apart, causing rider to fall off, roll under a car and be killed.
Why don't you people listen to good advice? Don't buy this!

I would recommend a Cree Q5 powered front light, you can normally get them for around a fiver off ebay and they're powered by AAA's or around a tenner for a pack:

ebay.co.uk/itm…8df

I realise that's a lot more than this deal but I don't see the point in buying the lights in this deal as they do little to light a bike up, the Cree Q5 is a reasonably powerful light and I was surprised to find it was a good bit brighter than the £60 Cateye front light I originally used.

John

ideal for the kids bikes. makes them feel important and grown up whilst not costing too much when they break them. probably no good for the serious biker but thats obvious.

my 6 & 7 year olds will love these.

take the front light off when locking your bike. as soon as it touches anything else the mount rails break!

edit: on looking at the big picture on the website it seems these are a slightly different model from the ones I've had experience with.

Found and bought 1 pack ... they are indeed poor quality, possibly just worth £1 ... front one seemed to be OK,
but had real trouble turning the back light off, must have taken me a good 3 mins. Wont be buying any more.

Original Poster

I wouldn't recommend this either for your main bicycle.....this is suitable for kids bikes.

If some twit hadn't dragged up this thread to make an abusive comment about some sound advice, then it would have disappeared and these people would have saved their money, instead they have wasted cash finding out how poor the product is.
Keep your hands in your pockets instead of on the keyboard next time.
