Looks like you’ll need about 10 on each side to have any impact, and thats if one doesnt explode and set your wardrobe on fire
What a time to be alive...
I got a pack of ten from amazon for £4.95 Inc Post, at least I had protection if it didn't turn up. smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1
Also you don't have to fit on the hinge, I fitted one in the centre of the wardrobe and it lights whole thing when door opens.

I simply don't understand. Is it so insomniacs can see their clothing isn't sneaking out at night?

Not bad, thought they'd be more than 60p!
It is a great gadget - I installed one in my under sink cupboard.

My wardrobe doesn't get enough light from the main light or from the window. It's hard to see in there. I can see something like this being very useful in principle. If it were about fifty times brighter and not in one spot.
lol @ those "instructions"

They don't fit all hinge's, need to screw to side panel. Bright enough for kitchen cupboards (handy in corner units).
Open the door and the light is on - great.
Damn. Thought it came with the hinge too.

They have a 3 position switch, off, on and pir sensor mode. Think when triggered by the sensor they stay on for approximately 20 seconds. We'll worth the money, ideal for wardrobes, inside sheds etc.

I have a bag full of these and they don't fit anything apart from a bathroom cabinet and even that's a bit of a botch. The screws of the hinges are recessed and won't come out enough to screw through the plastic base of the light and if they did would make the hinge insecure. If I try another, I will just fit to the wood with self-tapping screws.

I had the same problem, in the end I used 3m sticky pads to fix mine to a hinge last week, seems to be working quite well so far.

They have a 2 position spring loaded switch in the bent arm part, that meets the door and is off until door is open. Light is a bit directional (like using a fixed torch in the cupboard) so don't know how that will look under a cupboard or how you would switch on/off.

As a btb, I think it would be a better design if the switch part was part of the body not on a bent arm - but I suppose that's part of the hinge mounting. Well made and good enough light.
Do they use AAA batteries?
Ordered 10 for £2.50 at eBay.
