Great torch which normally retails for £80 plus. Quality brand, not to be confused with cheap chinese imports.

Beauty of this model is the rechargeable battery.

Product info

  • Superior quality, premium LED light chip giving you up to 1000 lumens of light

  • Advanced focus system optics give you an intense distance beam or a flawless near illumination

  • Speed focus allows you to select your beam with one hand using the sliding carriage mechanism

Sad to see the job losses but Maplin was like a throwback to the 1980s.
I paid for this £19 when it was on offer, it is good but, draining battery so quickly
Maplin going bust, avoid!
Fantastic torch , eats battery's though. Plus that's way overpriced.

LED Lenser are way overpriced and over-hyped. Their only selling point really is the focus mode.
It's a torch!
You're not so bright paying £60 for a torch
I'd go for the very latest generation for a little more money: alpinetrek.co.uk/led…ht/
Led Lenser is a superb brand. I have the original police tech focus which was perfect after 10 years hard use, until fake Duracell batteries leaked. Led Lenser sent me a new battery cage, end cap and switch FREE OF CHARGE. Try getting that level of service with cheap Chinese eBay crap.

Don't confuse the poor saps who buy cheap chinese junk, with facts.
This is a very expensive torch!
I bought a Sofirn c8a for about £10 (yes from china)
It's been tested at nearly 2000 lumens.

There is a difference between those cheap chinese zoom torches and the higher quality items.
