Product Description
Manufacturer's Description
The Police Tech Focus Black Professional hand held torch is presented in a gift box. The Police Tech Focus has quickly built a reputation of being the preferred choice of the boys in blue. Extremely popular because of its handy compact size, weighing in at only 144gms it is also very lightweight to carry on your belt. The positioning of the on/off switch on the rear tail cap enable it to be pulled from the pouch and switched on in one motion, and also makes this torch ideal for signalling with. The contacts are 24 ct Gold and the casing aircraft aluminium.

A patented prism reflector system and a high intensity 1.25 watt LED bulb give the torch a supremely bright beam which can be adjusted to either spot focus or flood focus by twisting the head of the torch. The light output is 80 Lumens from just 3 x AAA alkaline batteries, which provide up to 50 hours of light from one set of batteries. Not bad considering a pack of 4 batteries should cost as little as £1.99.

All round our number 1 selling torch. It is supplied with a lanyard and durable nylon pouch with belt buckle for storage when the user is active.

Lenser make excellent torches. Unlike some other models, this one uses std AAA batteries instead of some odd shaped/expensive ones.

Yeah, bought an Inova X0, try finding decent cheap rechargables and charger for that, great torch as well though.

Excellent, thanks Andy, has anyone used the ultrafire batteries from dealextreme before?

Yeah I got a load of torches and batteries/chargers from Dealextreme great price, and even though some would rather have std AAA or AA batteries they are not cut out for a proper high powered LED torch. Go to dealextreme and such for the P7 LED torches these are great.

+1 for Dealextreme

Excellent deal and quality of torch, although also look at fenix range of torches, rated at around 200 Lumens if the 80 Lumens isnt enough for you

Hot price for this torch, but I'd go the DealExtreme route myself.

18650 lithium batteries are probably the best. A Cree P7 torch is good for flooding a large area, whereas something with a smaller LED (P4, Q2,3,4,5, R2) and a large smooth reflector will shine furthest.

Anyway, I like the new Led Lenser products, so voted hot. These focusable optics are very useful.

The Watt rating of the LED doesn't really matter. That 3W Luxeon is probably comparable to a Cree driven at 1W.

Not a good price.
DX have a great selection of torches if you dont mind waiting for shipping.
I have this one which I use on my bike as well for under $8. dealextreme.com/det…307

I've got a couple of great cheap torches from ledshoppe but this torch really is in another league.

(Excellent bike light youve pointed out for the price though).

The Romisen torches I've bought from Dealextreme have rendered my Maglites redundant. The aluminium is machined just as well as that of my Maglites if not better. I can't comment on the range of Lenser torches though, maybe they're leagues above Maglite in terms of build quality.

sweet

I have this Lenser torch, and it's much better than any Maglite I've had. Superb bit of kit!

I am looking for a small torch just for when building computers can anyone recommend one for me to use.

Not this one as it is too bright.

If you don't need it in a hurry Dealextreme do a 1xAA Romisen that is bright but not too bright for close up work. I find it perfect.

If you want it now then a AAA Maglight is maybe ok for you although I don't really like incandescent-bulb torches.

Thanks for that - I was going to get a Maglite.

Can you be more specific please about why its better? Probably obvious, but would be good to know.

The ]TrustFire P7-F16 looks good too for $36.50 (£22) - 900 lumens, if it's to be believed. How many lumens is yours?

Also found a ]LED LENSER X21 with 1000+ lumens, but costs over £200 :w00t:. Tooled-up says: Quite simply the brightest hand held LED light ever produced.

300 lumens

this torch has to be used to be believed so impressed i ordered it's big brother as well the P14

don't compare these to a maglite they are in a different league. plus i paid 32 ukp for it last year so price is hot aswell

Love the customer image on Amazon.

My torch arrived yesterday.

Tried it out once it got dark in the garden & compared it to my 3 D cell Maglite & one of my LED specials from the good old ledshoppe.

In a word .......... WOW !!

The difference is staggering.

Just goes to show you dont know what youre missing till you try it - Very happy with purchase.
