These are bloody brilliant torches. I got one a year ago for around £50 for dog walking in the winter and they're extremely powerful, but small and lightweight enough to slip in a pocket. The top of the torch telescopes up and down to go from a spot to a flood light.

Cold.
Have a look at dealextreme at the peoples cree led torch which is about £7 delivered and 100 lumens (twice the brightness) and runs on 3AAs. Not suitable for very rough treatment though (I.e. Attached to a mountain bike). Delivery would be after xmas, but would be worth the wait instead of buying this candle.

fantastic torchs ive got the p7 so im goner buy this one and leave it in the truck. sorted. cheers :santa:

The only problem is that your comparing it to somthing different though??
and the long wait from US as well .
It would be an ideal crimbo pressie:gift:

Comes to £20.95

Erms its a LED torch without the fancy (but often useless) focus ring. The Peoples Cree
]http//ww…442 is $9.56 which comes from Honkers not the US, but I already addressed that. It also appears to list it as 150lumens (3x the brightness).

Buy this Lenser if you are desperate to pickup 2007 technology. Buy the People's Cree on a promise for a torch that wont disappoint.
The Cree which is a 3.6v-4.5v LED driven torch is always going to be brighter than 1.2-1.5v.

Just to clarify that the marketting for the Lenser is a little misleading here is the beam pattern for the People's Cree:
