two pin plug and i dont know if these would function correctly /safely on our 240v

Interestingly these things look exactly like some Tesco ones I got from a car boot sale last week. It is certainly the same flasher unit, just a different plug.

The UK nominal voltage was 225.6V to 254.4V. Now it's 216.2V to 253V as it's harmonised with EU. The actual voltages haven't changed at all - just the nominal values.

The stated operating voltage is within range and the spec states 50Hz rather than, say, 60Hz so I don't see why they wouldn't work.

Two-pin may not be a problem - how many table lamps (for example) do you have with an earth?

That said, I'd examine carefully and think hard before using outdoors - especially in a UK winter - and I certainly wouldn't connect any outdoor installation directly to an ordinary socket. By the way, a version of our familiar three-pin plugs is available with a "lock-in" mounting for this type of two-pin plug which is to be preferred to cable-cutting & re-plugging for some electrical products.

The leds and the flasher unit look very similar to those being sold in B&M stores for £8.99
Except that the B&M ones do come with a proper UK mains adapter which is CE certified.
