I have this home-brew shed in the back yard this could be ideal to stop me breaking my neck, but can anyone confirm it is any good? Ah come to think of it can it be used independently of its base?

Yes it can be used independently from the base. It is a rechargeable torch - come night light - come emergency light! I would say getting your home brew warrants an emergency light!

How can anyone vote hot/cold when there's nothing to compare it with!

This looks very similar to the one I picked up in Lidl a few weeks ago. I find it very useful, lights up the staircase outside the bedroom when I pass by.

The concept featured on the Dragons Den.You are getting a few products in one. An emergency light that comes on when there is a power cut, a sensor light, a night light, a rechargeable torch with base and it also has 15 white LED lights which mean less power use and longer product life - all for £10.

Will look out for this.

wonder how well it will stay in the socket, looks a bit deep

Very similar to the one in Lidl a month or so back. Pretty good. Not sure how long the battery's going to last if it's left charging all the time (as intended), though - it's not replaceable.

This also comes with a 3 year warranty so can't really go wrong for a tenner. Hot.

It doesn't look any deeper than those plug-in air fresheners that have 3 different little bottles in and I have 3 in my house.

Hmm shame no replacable rechargable batterries,
oh well you pays your money etc

I posted the deal from Lidls HERE

This light from Aldi seems to be better, it has 5 more LED's to start with and seems brighter.

The Lidl ones are ok except the sensor turns the light on during the day as you walk past.

That's odd. Mine doesn't do that.

I bought 3 and they all do it. Plugged in, they will light up as anything goes past, during the day or night. Really annoying but have put some tape over the sensor to cure it.

Just bought 2 of these and they are brilliant!!! White LED light NOT yellowish. They auto detect when it is dark so they activate so you don't have to keep turning them on and off to save the bulb life. Torch use is 3 and a half hours from start of use if you had an electrical outage. The light is nice and bright giving you good clear illumination.

I bought one from lid and it is great but does anyone have a problem with it coming on at night when we are all asleep and not moving around the house. It comes on for duration and then goes off again as if someone has activated it. Has it happened to anyone else.
