Just came across this deal and thought it is a brilliant deal. Some of the catching points at this price £92.5 are (use Code 9BGESX62664)

I'll get in there before anybody else does..... No band 20.
Great phone, heat for the price, unfortunately no Band 20
Is this OOS?
None removable 3AH battery, no headphone jack and that troublesome, for some USB C port.

Triply flawed but fast phone.
Leeco phones have spyware in official stock ROM . Their prices are very good , but if you do not want to root , stay away from them .

The shills will appear soon saying that's all bolox.

There's a reason these aren't sold in places like carphone warehouse or ee.

No doubt some idiot will buy one, just don't use online banking or enter any passwords.

I have a Leco Le Max 2 and it is an excellent phone. Very well made and fast. However the stock rom was nonsense when it arrived, didn't have any sort of setup (looked like it had been tampered with) and when I flashed an official one it was all in chinese. As the Le Max is a snapdragon based phone finding a decent rom wasn't hard. Once I out RR on it has been excellent.

Basically nothing wrong with this brand if you are prepared to mess around with roms.

If you root the phone banking apps do not work. Le Max2 stock ROM is full of spyware and Chinese apps. People who don't care about viruses or spyware should only dabble with it.

As worrying would be the fact leeco are more or less bankrupt. They seem to have overstretched trying to grow and have got into financial trouble.

actually these phones were never meant to be sold outside of China and thus their Chinese roms have been tempered with to allow google apps to run. if u r on cn firmware then there is no spyware etc

Rubbish . I downloaded ROM directly from Leeco website. There was no tampering as you mentioned and Google apps all in the ROM . Still it was full of spyware.

Their model was based on selling spyware not electronics. That is why they could sell phones and TVs in USA even after subsidising them heavily. If they sold pure Android without spyware like Oneplus and Nokia now , they would have done much better .
Quite a few makes have been shown to contain spyware. Someone on here put up a documented list and I think it was 3-4 manufacturers that had spyware that was un-removable in it's surrent state (unless you flash with other firmware).
can anyone suggest a good third party ROM to install?
