Not a bad deal. Got it on pre-order a while back and its an awesome game, but I do still like to have the disc (and it cost me less WITH a disc!).

I wasn't suggesting it for you, its just a deal with left 4 dead in it also . . . . . however i'm glad i provided a chance for you to play "got, not got" with the list . . . . . .

I think with those multipack deals you can "gift" duplicates to your mates too with Steam, so if a few of you club together.........

Good price, nice find.

H&R added.

the 40 quid pack is probably a better bet. as for this game im half and half even on rock hard it wasnt that hard, not much replayability in my opinion

been waiting for this to come back down to pre-order price, cheers!!

I think the replayability is the online multiplayer TBH.

never liked zombie games but I am tempted by it all my TF2 mates seem to have migrated to this for now. there is a sale on at the steam store loads of great bargains to be had.

I play left4dead and ive got to say its brill i wasnt too keen on it at first but now im always playing it

You can't. This is exactly what I thought, glad I did some research first as it turns out the gift option ONLY applies to HL2 and the episodes, there's one other case where it works and that's when you buy the L4D 4pack.

Basically, if you buy the complete pack and you already have l4d or tf2 those games disappear into nothingness.

It's not the same (as owning the retail) though.

You're not getting anything different with a hard copy. Like Half Life 2, Left 4 Dead requires you to be connected to the internet, at least once every session, to play it. Granted, with Left 4 Dead you'll be playing it online mostly anyway. But if you buy a disc, it's the same situation.

Great game. Can't remember shouting obscenities so much at the computer for any other game. "Here they come..."

Just been to India and got a retail copy of L4D for the equivalent of £12.50. Glad we had a trip planned so soon after the game came out :-D
