It’s the split screen one off the first

I’ve rarely seen this under £100. Heat.

Won’t be worth much more in years to come if that’s your intention.

Eh? £84.99 from Lego direct with free delivery and £8.50 worth of VIP points. Plus if you get it over £100, get a VIP set too which I'm guessing will be on eBay for about 30 notes soon! But if not VIP, JL good deal... cue heat!!

And it is double points week! (Until the 15/10)

Try looking in the right place then

LEGO is the best deal on this right now with 2xVIP points and 7% TopCashback. Also a free promo set worth £25 now (£10 in a week) if you spend another £15.01. Cooling added, hardly a deal

I agree!

We are not VIPs though and not looking for points just the best price on this set for a present. So this is the best deal for us

I wonder how much of a kickback HUKD get using the digidip affiliate tool? I thought JL didn’t accept queries via affiliate. If so, they should be on Quidco or TopCashback ;-)

I’ll no longer click on “Get Deal” and I suggest you all do the same.

Yep, I guess they get X cashback on completed orders.

You know, as sites like this run on magic beans, require no admin and allow morons free speech and the ability to not contribute constructively.

Sorry, who's that, oh that'll be Google calling for a free loading troll.....

EVERYWHERE that sells this officially has it cheaper than £100 that a stupid idiot mentioned on here previously. We all know that eBay/Amazon scalpers charge over the odds. I posted the date of Tesco’s next 3-for-2 deal, but I’ll delete it now. Why do I bother

Maybe you want to move with your wisdom to another forum if you think sharing is not worth it? Bon voyage

Got this from Toys R Us last week and enjoyed building. Reversed some of the instructions to make it a right hand drive model. Good price.

Stick to the subject

You started putting it away from the actual Lego deal itself!

Word of warning

Every Lego set I've had delivered from John Lewis has been damaged.

They either pack it in a very thin box which has no protection in transit or it's just wrapped in a thick green bag!

Ok if you don't keep the boxes, but if you collect these and care about the box then wouldn't advise.

Oooh 56 quid for me, very very tempting.

We had this set delivered from John Lewis last week and although it was in a cardboard box, it was very thin and the Lego box inside was damaged on the corner and slightly creased on the front. No packing material at all. We considered sending it back, but we bought it as a present, not an investment so it didn't really matter. If you want it to keep, best pick it up from the store.

With due respect from what I understand of it people who 'invest' in Lego buy rather large quantities, usually of the bigger sets, and do source them in person from stores/suppliers for the very reason of avoiding damage in transit.

I have a collection quirk going on myself with things such as Amiibo and gaming controllers where I insist on the packaging being mint, but it's from a collector's OCD perspective rather than me banking on Greninja number 36 handing me the wheel to my dream yacht in Monaco a decade down the line I will even go as far as admitting we have a few rare Star Wars Lego sets lying around unopened ourselves but it's not for financial gain reasons, we got a flat in Buckhurst Hill and another one in Sawbridgeworth we rent out and own with zero mortgage as investments, not a couple of two bob Lego sets.

Sorry to seem to be digging you out here but Lego investors ain't loitering round HUKD to snare a mid range Lego set from John Lewis you know.

Most of the people here are cheap scalpers
A fiver profit for them is the proof that they are the real "investors" in Lego

Perhaps some people have differing interpretations of what constitutes an investment but to me buying a widely available solitary £75 Lego set to sell for say 100 quid in five years time definitely is not.

Don't get me wrong a profit is a profit, be it 50 pence or 50 grand, and I have bought and sold on bits 'n bobs to turn a modest quid or two myself but they were hardly 'investments' just an earner for want of a better word.

Forget fivers, I'm going all the way to the top with at least a tenner now by virtue of Mickey Mouse Hermes delivering my Lego set from John Lewis in mint condition *humming 'we're in the money' very loudly at this ungodly hour*
