Thanks op was tempted by the Amazon uk one just now. It converts to £45 apparently, or £50 with premium delivery (which I needed)

How did you get it for £45? I calculated a total of £49.69 (€58.50) with standard delivery

Ok, so if I use an RBS credit card, no fees? Never understood all these overseas purchases :/

It has to be a card that doesn’t charge overseas transaction fees. You didn’t specify what RBS card it is you have, so I couldn’t possibly comment if it’s suitable or not.

This is Halifax card I have which sells itself on the fact it’s designed primarily for overseas spending. But to be fair, it pretty much does the same job as a Monzo or Starling card; just in credit card form.

Yeah, pretty sure I selected to pay in Sterling and the last line on my order confirmation email does show

GBP 51.11

So should be good.
Thanks, picked one up and my fee-free card was charged £49.84.
Ordered £46 :):)

Looks good, thanks OP - heat added!

There's also a possible trick to get an extra €5 off using an Amazon gift card promo (one use per account).
