LEGO 42069 Extreme Adventure at Amazon for £94.99

As low as I've seen this. Really well reviewed on the Lego Store (where it is currently £139.99).

Can't justify it myself as I've put the Saturn rocket away for a Christmas prezzy for myself but thought it might help someone.

£94.99 for a car with four flat tyres come on,heat.

This is way better than the flagship model of the year.

At risk of upsetting the Lego fans, wtf is that!

This year's Technic models certainly haven't been the best. They have all been slightly questionable (especially the flagship) but in terms of what your getting volume wise I guess it's pretty good.

Lepin do a version of this for £52

I would rather pay more for the explorer truck as it is remote control. Heat as it is on Amazon for lowest price I have seen.

I feel the same way. I get my boy stuff that's like something they'll see and therefore has engineering understanding they can relate to. This is nonsense.

I was looking at that too but the reviews are very poor, both in terms of functionality and value (not that Lego is ever great value!). This is significantly cheaper and has better reviews.

It's funny isn't it how we all think differently? Like you I like my boys to explore the engineering in these sets but that's why I like things like this that make them push their imagination and creativity rather than just re-creating something they have already seen in real life.

It would be a boring world if we were all the same and I hope Lego continue to make these more off-the-wall models occasionally as well as the more traditional stuff.

It would be wouldn't it! I guess my thinking is if they can relate to real world things then maybe they'll look at things in the real world then think how they could work (knowing that Lego is a means by which you can employ those same principles).

Hopefully the wild and wacky creations will follow as my older one builds confidence, and then starts to get into coding his mindstorms set himself as well to bring it all together.

Right now the crazy creations are of the Ninjago variety between the two - got a small movie maker set coming from Lego alongside the chess to see what they do with that!

Great combo with mindstrom too
