Amazing how much cheaper things are when you don’t have to pay for design, r&d and marketing

I think I’ll help the comments section and save everyone the trouble by stating some old chestnuts:

"This isn’t a REAL deal, it’ll be cheaper"
"Who buys this stuff?! It’s ridiculously expensive”
”Save money, buy (insert your "alternative brick company" here e.g Lepin)! It’s good enough" and with it "How dare you?! / Wash your mouth out / Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?!"
"Costs more than my car" and with it "You must have a terrible car"

I’m sure I’ve missed others.

I did consider this actually but put it on in case folks were already members. Online CostCo membership is £15 though so thought was still bit of Lambargain at this point in time.

You’re absolutely right! Like the Bugatti or RSR........eventually, if one is willing to wait but if you’re in a rush.

I’m afraid I only understand the language of bricks!
It depends what you wanna do with it, I tend to buy them, build them and sell them. The genuine stuff holds its money fairly well, especially if you buy it on a deal, so the actual cost to build isn’t a lot.

The Chinese stuff is impossible to sell on
Hopefully go sub £200 like the Bugatti..nice deal for a new set though

Surprised - How much do you sell on for? (E.g. this as well as the Porsche/ Bugatti model). & sell on to ebay or? Also after how long?
I'd hold out for a while. Lots of damning reviews of this set for poor colour matching of the bricks. Apparently Lego are working on a fix. If that doesn't bother you, it's a great price but I'm going to wait a few months.

Usually on the bigger sets I tend to lose £10-20 if I’ve bought them on a deal. Just sell them when I’m done building. The batmobile I ended up earning money on due to the free stuff it came with.

Sorry would require a time machine...was this price December or January...think I got mine from George/Asda @£180-odd...
I like the look of this set and its great news that the parts are printed instead of using a sticker sheet. Disappointing about the colour mismatch of the lime green parts though.
Is this instore?

I'm afraid I'll have to defer to other community members to answer that one! Out of curiosity, why does it matter if delivery is included?
Will go cheaper elsewhere soon. As it’s 01/08 other retailers are aloud to sell it now. Picked up the Chiron 30% off just 4 months after release. Patience will reward you!
£100 on AliExpress - Lepin brand (google lepin vs lego and find decent reviews). For those who don't like lego pricing basically same product except for Lego micro printing on each block.
Very tempted to get this.... Must resist must resist
the only thing stopping me is the colour issue
You could buy a car at that price....

If in store you could pick the best box from the shelf ensuring you don’t get a dinged/scuffed/scratched or any other damage.

By going with the delivery option, whilst convenient you’re then hoping they send a pristine box and that pristine box does not get damaged in transit.

Thanks. I decided for myself that was the reason although the boxes I’ve received have always been pristine and packaged to within an inch of its life.

And also if the Chinese stuff is anything like the components we get in engineering that we have to put right then I'd avoid
It's a hot price at the moment compared to the Lego RRP and other shops.

However HUKD's tend to usually moan at anything costco related.

That said these lego sets will eventually drop substantially so I'll wait before adding it to the Chiron and Defender and target a £150-£175 price.

Amazon: Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron - £174.99
Costco: LEGO Technic Land Rover Defender -
£124.99

If Lego don't retire them beforehand so you're hoping on the waiting gamble paying off, the Chiron's still sitting at 260 quid on Amazon right now
Fantastic to see a discount on day one, voted hot. It's all about timing with these sets as I have been extremely lucky with technic car prices over the last year or so. Started off with the Porsche RSR for £ 65.00 from Argos then managed to get the Defender from them for £ 96.00 leading up to Christmas last year. I'm sure that within a year or so if may start appearing in the low to mid £ 200's but I've set my self a purchase price of £ 245.00 or less which I feel is attainable. As for my favorite set which is the Bugatti .......thanks to Amazon that was free. Not sure I'll ever get that lucky again

Why troll a Lego deal if that's how you feel?

I've paid this sort of money for a Lego set before and at the moment I'm wearing a watch I weighed on over 6 grand for.

Nice things tend to cost nice money, just putting it out there.
