I was in my local store today and spotted this amazing deal! I bought the only one in that local store but wanted to try and get another one as a present. I telephoned another store and managed to reserve another one, it also gives you the option to order into store if stock unavailable but not sure if you'll still get this price but worth a try.

You will need your local store number and this item's catalogue number (no. 247/9828)

The blurb:
Recreate your favourite scenes from the Star Wars™ movies and conquer the snow-plains of Hoth in the Imperial AT-AT (All Terrain Armoured Transport) walker from LEGO®.

This mighty war machine has a cockpit with enough room to sit the AT-AT driver and a Snowtrooper. It features a movable head and legs, plus deadly spring-loaded shooters. The side hatches open-up to reveal the interior, where a trap door can be found hidden in the body.

The LEGO® Star Wars™ AT-AT includes 5 mini-figures AT-AT Driver, General Veers, Snowtrooper Commander and 2 Snowtroopers and accessories: Blaster pistol, 3 blaster rifles, electro-binoculars and 2 spring-loaded shooters.

It is not an online deal. This item is from the old catalogue so availability between stores will vary. You have to phone your local Argos store to see if they have it available.

I have to pick up a phone? Cold ;o)

This was posted last week

Sorry didn't see last week's post until you pointed it out. Price has dropped by £10. Just wanted to let people know that they don't have to turn up on spec at a store. Just phone to check availability and reserve.

I think it was £65 when posted at the weekend....I had to check around 40 stores to get one (I travel a lot so have nice set of stores to choose from), the phone system is completely automated and if you get the store codes you can check them at a rate of one every 5-10 seconds. With the Chima set down to £38 too it's like an £84 saving on the two sets against RRP.

Google the number for your local store. On the automated line, make sure you note the given store number, then use this together with the catalogue number to check stock availability.

Ordered both the AT-AT and the Star Destroyer fantastic thanks very much.

When I tried calling one of my local stores, the automated system told me there was no stock available but I could order it in within a couple of days. I did not pursue that line of enquiry but tried another store. I guess you have to follow the automated system through to it's conclusion.

4 in stock at argos Isle of Wight

This is a great set and best price I have ever seen

It is also worth checking codes 9150470 (R2D2, £90) and 3889273 (Falcon, £80) as none of the stores near me had those in stock.

I've posted the Red Five X wing at £115 as another deal too...

Does anyone have any catalogue numbers for old marvel sets?

Just managed to snatch the last one at London Wood Green. Called 0345 640 1010 beforehand to check stock, quoting item number 247/9828.
Good luck fellow Lego Star wars fan !

Just google what you want, for example...... lego 75054 argos will being back a cached link to the old Argos page and Argos use their product codes in those links

just got last one in northwest. from leyland. also checked for x wing, r2 d2 and the star destroyer. all out of stock in the northwest.

All built now

Thanks for the heads up - great deal. Picked up the last one in Llanelli town centre. Worth checking for other lego sets in-store at your local argos, as many of them have the odd set with big reductions that don't appear on their website. I've Picked up 4 lego sets recently, with at least 30 % off just by checking stock in store, none of which were online.

Thanks just got one in North London

So much want, so little space, so angry a wife...

I got the last one in Botley (oxfordshire) none others local to me. Plus I found 3 gift cards in my wifes purse so got it for £33.97. Not sure if shes happy or not!!!!!!

How did you get the product codes?
Old catalogues?

How did you get the product codes?Old catalogues?

Hi fonzie - our store has the newer style touch screen machines in store where you can check stock by typing in search words e.g. "Lego star wars" . It then shows what sets they have in stock - so you don't need the product codes. They're much better than the old blue stock checkers where you need the individual argos item code, which makes them no good for a general search. I thought most stores had updated to those new machines now - does your store still have the old type machines?

If you know which set you want, go to Google, for example type...... lego 75054 argos and search...

The 2nd link that comes back is the cached Argos link of argos.co.uk/sta…htm

While that link does not work, it contains the Argos product number for the item, that being 2479828.

My local stores have these as well, but wasnt sure if they show stock from older catalogues?

Yes they do show all stock in that particular store, irrespective of old/new catalogue. Also picked up set 75013 Umbaran MHC™ (Mobile Heavy Cannon) (£50 down to £27) last week by doing a search instore. Don't think that's in the new catalogue either. It's pot-luck depending on the individual store but it's always worth checking, once a new catalogue comes out - you can often pick up deals not listed on-line.
