Death star about to retire.... Ohhh how often I heard this with 10188...

Good price though

I’ve always said this set shouldn’t have existed, so much more for a couple of hundred pieces.

Still haven’t built the last version I got for £225 from Smyths YEARS ago. One of the many many sets that remain boxed and maybe too expensive to open now....

Hasn’t this been about to retire for a decade
Good price I’m not sure if I will wait for Smythes as usually knock 100 off! But best not to miss ?

Nah, from memory the last one was 10188? This is the newer version that has bee around for about 3 years.
Are those lazer blasts a physical part of the set?
Is this a fully armed and operational battle station?
You know this is just plastic right? £328
Christ on a bike! Even Chinese knock-offs for this are a hundred quid. I like Lego, but I don't need to spend that much on it! Nearly 20% off is a good deal, if you are that mad though.

This set released in 2016 was a re-release of the popular 2008 set that retired in 2015 but due to poor sales and alot of critism this set is now retiring this year.

Best price this set will probably be before its gone for good unless LEGO has it back in stock by Black Friday and have it on a sale like last year or Smyths reduce it to £299 like last year for Black Friday too.

Can you still get knock off Lego sets ( Lupin ) ?

Can you still get knock off Lego sets ( Lupin ) ?

Can you? Yes, they tried to shut them down but there is still plenty of stock out there and now new names are springing up to replace them. Should you? Only for retired or never available sets. I have no problem buying retired sets from Lepin as it’s no worse than building a replica car. You can’t give Lego your money for the set so why pay scalpers?

TBH I’d rather buy a Lepin SSD than open my sealed Lego one

No, it's just a moon, surely...
