Perhaps you should’ve posted a deal then, how else would OP know that

One set was on shelf that’s why.

So the comment was pointless, right
No point posting for me.

Obviously. But when you comment that, it sounds like “cold deal, it’s been cheaper before” when nobody else has even said that the deal exists or got it

Okay, I take it all back

I’ve always thought it doesn’t look great (especially for the price) but am I mistaken? I am gonna buy it anyway but is it better than I have expected?
Do you all think that this set will still drop in price what with it being the last of the stock? Just checked on price spy and it’s predicted to stay around the £40 mark but don’t know how accurate this is. I’m so torn on whether to just buy it now or not

I'm 90% sure it'll drop down to at least this price if not £30 or lower. There's a high chance of this going on clearance, and there'll also be plenty of deals to entice Black Friday/Xmas buyers (along with all sets, even non-retiring ones). Fret not
Also, it's not necessarily "the last of the stock" as far as I'm aware. I don't know how TLG's production processes work when retiring sets, but I'd imagine this is still in production. And even after that, it'll still be available at other stores.

Okay thank you I’ll wait it out then that’s a very good point. Hoping Black Friday will be generous to us lego collectors!

Oh, and also, worst comes to the worst you can just buy it on Bricklink or eBay after retirement. You almost ceratinly won't pay more than the price of this item now.

Me too, I'm pretty sure it will be generous
