Not a great discount. Wait a month or so and this will almost certainly be below £30.
I have no idea why they released this set. It doesn’t fit in with the rest at all! Ah well - buys it anyway

I bought this when it came out. It's a great set, love the movement of the wings. I'm not a Harry potter fan, but it is one of my favourite Lego sets now.
Honestly worth getting it from LEGO themselves, with the free space set with code MSAE, 5% back in VIP points etc.

Only £3, isn't a great deal for a set like this that is a many retailers who inevitably will have it reduced sooner than later.

Yeah Helms Deep is awesome. I’m currently trying to collect all the retired LOTR sets and the retired UCS Star Wars ones. Goodbye money and space!

Well... it's 8.7% immediate discount, so better than 5% future discount. Many collectors of this might not have much use for a City minifig pack. And you only get free delivery over £50 on Lego.com, so you'd have to buy something else too.

Yep, would look a bit odd. By the way, nice collection! I've only recently got back into Lego, so missed out on loads of good sets.

Thanks - yeah I’m the same. Wish I’d collected them at the time as retired sets are so expensive!

They are very expensive I did buy the saturn v from eBay recently. That was retired not that long ago, RRP was 110, but I had to fork out £200 but I think that will continue to go up in price. But to be honest it is a great build and even though I spent 200 I think it was worth it. Expensive business this Lego stuff.

Undoubtedly true for most folks but think @minifig290 has a point in that sometimes one ought to do the math and might find its more “worth it” to buy direct from Lego if you can pile on freebies on top. Granted this is most applicable to more serious Lego-ists and collectors. Remember, some sets can ONLY be bought from Lego (OK, VAST majority not exclusive) so it helps to have VIP points to eventually get a discount on SOMETHING. The freebies can also sometimes be exclusive to Lego only and if you’re willing to take the trouble to flog them, it might work out to be a “discount” overall on the main purchase. Maybe...

Sounds like a good investment then! Keep the instructions and the boxes and you’ll probably be able to find a buyer for most Lego these days

The prices on the Lego site are RRP, it’s other retailers that discount them
I hate Harry Potter with a passion but really want this (I’m assuming I can omit the HP textpieces during the build)
