LEGO 76042 helicarrier £214.99 at toys r us

Found 1st Sep 2015
Rrp £269.99, not many discounts to be had on lego.com for this other than free poly bag and VIP points, so £55 off is not to be sniffed at. Doubt it'll be in stock online long at this price.

Not sure if any toys r us voucher codes still available that would reduce it further?

Can't believe adults buying this product at that price for children to play with.

Probably find its for the adults and not the children
I'm stock on couple London shops near me
Sorry In Stock
Great price but no stores anywhere near me have stock. It's fine for lego stores to have stock sitting on shelves as they only sell lego but i can see these large, expensive sets being wasted space in other toy shops. I love that I can get bigger sets from smyths, j lewis etc now as they do more discounts/promos.

My daughter wanted a set with bday money. It was £60 in local lego store. No free polybag, crappy points or shopping 'experience' would change the fact it was only £40 in the argos store across the street.

Its not for children and you can't really play with it.

The detail in the build is far beyond an average child's attention span.

You are mixing forms...I'd love to see a child - a normal one, not one of those Child Genius types - have a crack at this.

The end result would be....interesting.

have they actually made the enterprise lego version?
Not a bad price. To make it a bit sweater, get some Toys R Us gift cards from Tesco for some Club card points as well. This is what I do. For every £60 of £20 cards, you get 150 points. I'd do one £60 per transaction, just in case. You still get the full amount of gold VIP points as well. I do this all time when Toys R Us send me through vouchers.
The recommended age group on this set is 16 - 65 years!

"Average child's attention span"

Yes kids love Minecraft hell even adults love Minecraft but the above are video games. Good look getting a child to sit there with you and build this over 12+ Hours

I wouldn't trust a kid near this they would probably eat a brick..

Is there a typo in the post or is it really £200 for some plastic?

Or do morrisons and get 20p off a litre (worth up to £20) if that is more local.
Want one, great price...

You need to be very clever or very stupid to hoard Lego!

Insightful. Thanks.
Buy. Keep for 10 years and sell for 5+ times the cost?

If you can keep your hands off it and not be tempted to build

Didn't realize this was aimed for 16 upwards (2nd childhood it seems)

2,996 pieces of plastic to be exact. So 6p a piece. Much better value than most Lego sets and will hold it's value far better than most toys.
Reserved one. I have a few sets I have invested in and this is clearly one that will only increase in value. Genuinely a good way to earn a bit of money over time. Thanks for spotting this op.

Agreed, the larger Lego sets are much better value for money than the smaller ones.

Generally it's not the materials that determine the price. It's manufacture/labour. House is a pile of bricks, car is a load of metal, etc.
Great model which is great fun to build. But this is not something to really be played with unfortunately, it will break within minutes.
How long would this take a not to smart, yet not to stupid human male aged 27 to build?
Ridiculous price for a Lego set
Great price but no stock in the North West

Based on the Millennium Falcon and Batman Tumbler sets I have done with my son you are looking at around 8 hours I would say

That "plastic" Sir is an investment. I've bought 3 Helicarriers and they are tucked away. In 10 years they'll be worth a tidy sum (along with my other large sets)
Why do I keep imagining x4 quad copters in place of them Lego props and all synced to 1 controller ! How awesome would that be if it lifted !
Bespoke offers came back with 206.97.
