Lego 76052 Classic Batcave £159.99 @ Smyths - Retired

Found 28th Mar
Saw this in store and is online too.

Used to be £239.99 so an £80 saving or 33% saving.

Im unsure of the set as was never into the tv series and recently spent more than I should have on Lego at John Lewis, but still a bit tempted for eBay/future interest.

Apart from the obvious blatant copyright issues, which we will ignore for a minute, just be aware that those sets are not CE tested. Who knows what paint or plastic they use and what levels of chemicals are included, literally who knows as they haven't been tested.

An interesting article in the independent recently highlighted that really old Lego is actually not safe either. Do you think the guy in the Chinese factory committing blatant copyright fraud is considering what level of barium, lead or bromine to mix in?

p.s. Great price OP, nice find

makes it 47% off with that, great deal, and obviously hasnt caught the attention of lots of lego fans, i personally love the old batman style and the figures are all exclusives and probably never done again
Two in stock near me, just can't bring myself to proceed.
This offer is strictly restricted to one per household and one per transaction. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offers, TRU gold card.

Does the above mean no extra discount on Sale items, using TRU card.

Hmmm, I don't think this is a good "investment" set - there's a reason they are still only £160 after they have retired.
TBH, the RRP on this set is mad - £160 should have been the RRP with a street price around £120.

Wondering this too... Can anyone confirm they have bought discounted Lego items in-store at Smyths and got additional 20% off with their tru card?

Its ok, i dont lick my Lepin!
I bought loads of sale and clearance Lego today and they did accept the toys r us gold card :-)
Retired? That means it'll soon be worth £150 on eBay!!
5 in stock at my local branch ( Bournemouth ) very tempted
Got this for Christmas from the Lego store for £167. I really wanted it for the original Batmobile. I think this price is just about OK. The annoying thing is the detail is on the parts you don't see if you display against a wall

My eyes watered for two days after opening a Lepin modular set into two trays. Had to leave it for 2 weeks in the shed to rid of whatever chemical was being released.

Thank you to those that picked up the Norwich ones, saved my credit card and another nail in the divorce coffin
