Lego is great, my kids absolutely love it ( so do i) but very expensive and seems to be getting dearer by the week!

These little lego sets (aka blox) from wilko for a £1 seem really good value and brilliant little pressies for birthdays or Christmas (fantastic stocking fillers). Theres loads of different ones. to choose from and If you want to spend some more they are some really good bigger sets available!

Ok, appreciate the 'real' lego will be better quality, but for kods who not really bothered about the brand and will lose half the peices anyway, feel its not that bad.

Lego lost its right to trademark their blocks in 2010 so these Wilko sets are exactly the same dimensions and will therefore work with any other lego sets you have!

Spoke to a few mums and dads and they all rate this lego (aka blox) and im very happy as well.

Yes these are cheaper - however the difference in quality is quite huge in my experience.

Yes, Lego is expensive, but its that way for a reason.

Don't do it to your children!

Does not work "perfectly" with Lego. Proper lego gives a sold and firm attachment to all other Lego pieces. Non branded Lego stuff never does. The production quality is not anywhere as sharp either.

I don't mind these Lego imitation posts to be honest, is just the "same as Lego", "as good as Lego" etc bit that I think misleads people.

My son loves this, he'll build anything and thinks this is as good as Lego and it's pocket money prices (especially now Wilko have their toy promotion on).
The advent calendar was excellent last year and have just ordered this years

Yes, appreciate it might not be the full same quality, but thinks its great that it works with lego and at a fraction of the price, not bad at all.

Its a £1 but yes, built a buggatt car the other day via branded lego and it was great, but my 3 year lost half the bloody pieces so blox for him. Appreciate lego is a grown up hobby as well to so dont feel this is for that demographic

Ita only a £1, dont matter if you lose half down the couch. Nothing worse than losing a piece of real lego , and the emotionally roller coaster when you search everywhere and eventually find that elusive white piece on the white section of carpet again

It's absolutely rubbish ...... not a patch on the real stuff!

"Lego also know as blox" wtf!!! It's never aka blox.. blox is cheap and nasty stuff. Stay well clear

I agree edoyle, you get what you pay for.

My 5 year old was given some of the bloc sets & he has younger siblings, and in my honest opinion the blox people are damn right dangerous, as they completely come apart into very small pieces, unlike Lego.

Good price but it’s not lego, so title should not say Lego.

Maybe Lego compatible

To be fair it probably doesn't matter too much on these really small sets for really young children say 5-6 and under but as soon as they get to that age and into slightly bigger sets then the difference really starts to become obvious. Parts that don't quite hold together tightly, longer bits warp easily and the minfigures are just dire!

White carpets with children? You are either very brave or very insane! Lol!

I do buy this stuff...the road plates are great...but let’s face it, they have nothing on Lego. Whether it’s the pieces that don’t fit tightly together (let alone with Lego pieces!) or the fact that structurally, the buildings are badly designed...separated base plates or roof coverings...two pieces making up a support beam when it should be one complete piece...so that the buildings are quite fragile. I swear, the number of times LC building control go in to these places and have to give the bad news to the tenants, it’s heart breaking. By the way, look at that photo...where are the racers supposed to sit??? But seriously, this stuff serves a purpose, even for me (as I mentioned, the road plates are great and I use the buildings to fill out my Lego city and the characters are treated like ‘red shirts’) but it’s not Lego.
