LEGO Christmas Tree - 5004943 £4.99 Argos

Not the best Lego set in the world, but for under £5 might appeal to some.

Build a LEGO star to place on top of the cardboard Christmas tree, then have fun playing with the 2 minifigures and 3 small holiday models.

So the picture showing the lego tree on the argos site is not part of this kit? Just the star and figures?

I'm also wondering if the tree is included... The picture on Argos website does show the tree made out of lego?
I'd buy it if it were the tree too, but not so interested in the cardboard tree

Looking at it again....it is just cardboard isn't it
I won't be buying, but still a nice price for a little stocking filler I suppose!

Just so people know, you do NOT actually get a tree. The only Lego that comes with it is what you see in the picture.

The tree isn't included 😊

Yes, the tree is the box. It's the same set that Toys r Us were supposed to be giving out free for the last couple of weeks, but never had any stock. It's pretty horrible, but maybe worth it if you need a couple of minifigures and some presents.

I'm amazed that The LEGO Group thought this was acceptable packaging. At best it's misleading and at worst it's down-right duplicitous! Argos are no better as the 3rd picture shows the brick-built tree - which you don't get. Very bad form.

There must be a tree as it shows this in the images. Guessing it's small but considering the tiny builds you get in the advent calendars it's probably ok

25% off construction tape with this (search the site)

I can assure you get no brick-build tree with the set, just the stuff you see in the Get Deal pic

I asked Argos on FB...

I got one of these free from Toys R Us and wrote to LEGO to complain about the packaging as I felt it was misleading. Got the following replies. Worth e-mailing sometimes.32579863-B2PHy.jpg32579863-aOuAK.jpg

They say it does lol...

From the description:

Build a LEGO star to place on top of the cardboard Christmas tree, then have fun playing with the 2 mini figures and 3 small holiday models.

The Argos description though:
"Build a LEGO star to place on top of the cardboard Christmas tree, then have fun playing with the 2 minifigures and 3 small holiday models."
If any one buys it perhaps you can confirm? TIA😁

Is it that hard to count the pieces? The brick built tree is probably 100+ lol.

Silly Argos

We just looked at the image and counted the pieces ourselves, no way it includes the tree

ordered without reading the comments! This better come with a tree or I won't be happy!!!!
what's the point of calling the set 'lego Christmas tree' if they're no tree!??

Going by amazon reviews I'm guessing no tree

Argos should get some stick for miss-representation of product with their image. Preferably a bristly pine one.

Utter garbage! Knowing Argos, the cardboard will be crushed anyway! Cooling added.

There is no tree, I think the tree was sold as a real set at some point in the past in the same packaging which they then reused for this set which comes with the 2 figures.

I agree it is extremely misleading and very odd, especially for a company like Lego to pull something like this.

Just bought one and got it home. There is definitely no tree, not even a cardboard one.

The ‘tree’ is actually a picture of one on a cardboard box.

The only thing included is the figures and the windmill sails to sit on top of the tree/ cardboard box

Picked mine up today from Argos and can confirm there is no tree. Just the two figures, star and presents. Only saving grace is it only cost me 1p with the £5 Argos promotional code (in the newsletter emails from them).
