Amazon have a great deal on the LEGO City 60237 Curves and Crossroad baseplate set which usually sell for £10 but are currently £7 which works out £3.50 a plate. Its great to see these reduced whenever these are on offer they are usually only 20% off and I think 30% off these is the best price for a while. Unfortunately the straight and T-junction pack is out of stock. These plates are 32x32 studs wide and are the same thickness as the Classic baseplates.

There is a limit of 2 packs per order.

He's talking about the roadplates, not actual bricks. They're worth buying a pack and trying them out. And it's not like they'll get mixed in with your collection to a point where you won't be able to separate them.

Just a curve not curves... you need quite a few to actually create something.
For all the hate Wilko's Blox gets, their road plates are great and so much cheaper.

Even JangBricks uses fake Lego baseplates for his minifigs

(I say, also refusing to have non-Lego anywhere like you)

I’m a Lego purist, the official plates are great, but there’s some really nice third party base plates out there, with coastline etc on them. Not cheap, but really interesting. I’ll definitely bear them in mind when our little one starts getting into Lego.

Would love to see some of those you mention.

Here’s a good example. Like I said, not cheap, but looks good and has great reviews. I’m sure there’s plenty of others out there.

Thanks for that. Love the look of it.
What do you guys use these for? Have you got City builds etc? Would love to see some pics.

I simply don't have the space (or cash lol) but always loved Lego even now in my adulthood.

That’s awesome! I like how there’s an AT-AT casually there

On the floor though? That would kill my back lol. Could you not get some painters tables and set up at a decent height?

That AT-AT invading the city had me cracking up though.
Good spot.

As limited to only 2 might be worth adding a blue 32x32 baseplate to order for £7 to take you to £21 to get free delivery?

I’m talking about the base plates, specially the road plates but I’m also not a purist and throw in Blox buildings and figures to fill the background of my cities (you can see the top of the fire station in the bottom left of the photo. Also I have a class warfare thing going on where a gang of far right LEGO criminals attack the non LEGO citizens for not being pure. But these generics point out that their precious LEGO city is built on the hard work of Blox engineers.
