Sorry notices that there is a post for Asda but
Hopefully if you have jlp near you (and prefer their customer service)

Nice, thanks for posting as some may have missed the asda deal, as its OOS. Although if there is any P&P you should include that in the price...

ah i was bought the equivalent model about 20 years ago but it would now be in a thousand peices mixed in with a huge box of lego in the loft. but now i have a nipper, i might try and find all the bits and sort for my little'un to build. what a fun weekend that is going to be!

I bought this at the weekend from J L and its worth the money, my boys loved it! There was loads in the trafford center the other day

Thanks OP.

Thanks OP, have now officially started the Christmas shopping!
Also bought the heavy lift helicopter (4439) as it came up as the cheapest anywhere.

I did exactly this about a year ago with my son. I had no idea my mum had kept all my Lego in her loft from the mid 80s to early 90s.

We had an amazing fun building it, and it helped with his colours, counting and spatial skills into the bargain. He has a lot more now (mainly due to bargains on here) but still loves playing with the sets he calls "me and daddy's Lego" All the new stuff he refers to as "my Lego" but he loves some of the sets we first built together.
My advice is definitely go for it-you will both have a great time!

The instructions thing shouldnt be a problem (there were a couple of my sets where they were missing).

Its probably this one:

lego.wikia.com/wik…ion

and if so the instructions are here:

peeron.com/cgi…t=1

Hope this helps!

I often buy boxes on eBay and can sometimes make a few sets, other times it can be be a filthy job most often or not trying to remove all the megablocks etc is the worst job.

I have been doing that with a huge box bought from a car boot. Must have pulled about 200 mega blocks and other random bricks from it so far.

back up to £54 online, and £54 in store this afternoon.

excellent find back down to this price I have just order one online :-)
