Lego City Undercover Wii U NEW £22.50 at Sainsburys in store

Found 22nd Oct 2013
Was in Sainsburys and remembered the Pikmin 3 deal I'd seen (had box on shelf but none in stock at Morecambe) and walked away with Lego City Undercover Special Edition for only £22.50.
Seems the best price so far as this game is holding it's price stubbornly.
Highly rated game with a Metacritic score of 80 out of 100

LEGO City: Undercover Limited Edition. Includes Chase McCain LEGO minifigure.

For the first time, the fan-favorite LEGO City vehicles and play sets come to life in LEGO® City: Undercover, exclusively for the new Wii U console. Players assume the identity of Chase McCain, an undercover detective armed with clever disguises. The mission is to put a stop to the fiendish Rex Fury and end his crime wave in LEGO City. As players run, drive and even fly through the city, they'll use the Wii U GamePad controller as a new police gadget.

The Wii U GamePad is woven seamlessly into the game-play experience. Players use it to scan for hidden clues and criminals, receive mission updates and place waypoints on an overhead city map that displays their position in real time.

Experience LEGO City like never before. Players will encounter familiar play sets come to life as they explore the vast city, looking for clues to bring Rex Fury to justice.

Players can go undercover with a variety of disguises, including a firefighter, a construction worker and even a robber, and use their unique abilities to solve puzzles and access new areas of the city.

There are more than 100 vehicles for players to collect and use to explore the city, including sports cars, motorcycles and even aircraft.

Gutted!! Just bought this from shop too thinking I wouldn't get a better deal and would've got staff discount on this

This was on here a few days ago, hard to find then and much harder now Id imagine! Bet it's a fun game tho.

Basically there's a fantastic triple Wii U bargain to be had at Sainsbury's if you can find stock: Lego City LE £22.50, Pikmin £17.50 and NSMBU £24.99!

Excellent game and price. Voted hot.

Didn't someone say in another Sainsburys thread that anything that ends in a 50p price is normally a branch managers half price special deal so may not be national?

only NSMBU in Newport (as of Saturday night) and its marked up full price.

HOT!

Superb game

Whitechapel Sainsbury's had a couple copies left in store at 1.30pm. No Pikmin3 in stock though. Thanks for the great tip.

Someone did say that but it's not true. There's plenty of testimonials in the Pikmin 3 deal and the NSMBU deal.

They are often marked up as full price, you'll need to get the games scanned which is something probably worth mentioning in the OP.

A few other things worth mentioning: Lego City, Pikmin 3 and NSMBU are all marked as discontinued stock. If you can't see any on the shelves then go and ask customer services to check for stock, they sometimes have them in their games drawer but not on display for some reason. If they don't have them then they are also usually able to check stock at other stores once they find the item on their system.

Yes, go get it scanned. Was full price for me, but scanned at 22.50. Thanks!

Nothing in Middlesbrough. The Sainsbury's here has a top 5 Wii U games and it's not in the list. Must've gotten rid of Lego City ages ago. I've been waiting a long time for it to come down in price

Full price at Ashton-under-lyne,no barcode so got a woman to check, she said £44.99.She seemed quite helpful too !

I picked one up today for this price cheers op

No barcode?
Also, was it the special edn or not?

Got a limited edition one at Sainsbury in Hedge End Southampton. Marked up as £44.99, but scanned at £22.50. Had about four left. Cheers OP.

None left in either of my local shops =(
If anyone finds themselves with a spare copy I'll happily buy it off you + postage!

Managed to bag a Lego city and Rayman for £40 altogether at Sainsbury's Straiton. No Lego City on display, but was behind the counter. There was a Pikmin box on display, but the lady said it had been 'withdrawn' which made me think they had one, but weren't prepared to sell it.

I read your last comment and managed to pick up a copy if you still want it.

Awesome! I'd love it please! How much would you want for it and the postage?
Thanks so much! =)

I wouldn't want to make any profit. Only picked it up in case you still wanted one and thought if not I'd FS it here at cost or just take it back.

EDIT: Will start a FS thread stating first refusal for you.
