Winter toy shop? It's clearly a Christmas toy shop. The world's gone mad.

Ordered thanks

Whilst I agree, Lego have always been strictly non-religious, won't do a Lego church for example, so in this instance they are simply following true to that. All the Christmas sets have been 'winter'.

Good price for this and the train - might have been worth combining the lot into one post or some idiots will vote it cold because there are 'too many posts about Lego'.

I paid slightly less for both from the Lego shop recently, combining the Paypal offer, TCB, VIP points and after selling the free 24 in 1 sets, but this is the cheapest I've seen them as a straight purchase price. Tempted by another toy shop.

The only thing I would say is that John Lewis pack Lego in a thin box with no packing. Last one arrived a bit bashed so if you are buying for a gift, it might be better to collect in store.

Nice deal. This should be the last of this stock I guess... will be removed from their catalogue soon I'd imagine.

But why even make the sets then? These sets are quite clearly representative of Christmas. They are 'strictly non religious', but are making Christmas Lego sets and labelling them 'winter'. I don't even understand the logic. Despite what the Daily Mail might tell you, most people of other religions aren't offended by Christmas. My son gets Christmas cards from some of his muslim friends at school. And for any people that 'are' offended by Christmas, which is definitely a small minority, then that is their problem. We teach our children to respect other religions and customs, whilst allowing our culture and traditions to be slowly eroded, due to some misguided sense of offence, which I don't think actually exists in most people. I'm not even religious, but it does bother me that the traditions that I've grown up celebrating and following are being marginalised by big business.

That said, these look good sets for the money!!

I totally agree with you. Just saying what Lego's philosophy has always been since they first started which explains the 'Winter' label. It's not a recent decision jumping on the politically correct bandwagon.

Was hoping Lego were going to get it in again as they have an event at Legoland this coming weekend (20% off) but have bitten on this deal just in case... Thanks OP

Ordered, thanks

I was quite surprised though, don’t Lego usually put sets at retiring soon status?
