LEGO event #BuildToGive build and display, and free small Lego set to take home Glasgow & Milton Keynes

LocalFound 17th Nov 2017
This Christmas LEGO is inviting families to join them in their national #BuildToGive campaign, where you can channel your creativity and let your imagination run wild in order to build your very own LEGO Christmas decoration!

From beautiful baubles to quirky windowsill decorations, for every dazzling design built or shared, LEGO will gift a LEGO set to a local children’s hospital, to help spread joy and merriment in the lead up to Christmas!
LEGO have pledged to donate up to 20,000 LEGO gifts nationwide, working in partnership with children’s charity Fairy Bricks*.
#BuildToGive Shopping Centre Tour

A great way to get involved is to visit us at our shopping center tour.
Each event will have Santa’s helpers on hand to help you supercharge your imagination and get your creative juices flowing! What’s more, LEGO’s certified Professional Builder Duncan Titmarsh will also be around to share his expert (and top secret!) LEGO building tips (Saturday events only).

Once your build is complete you’ll get to hang it proudly on our Christmas display tree and as a big thank you, each builder will receive a small LEGO gift to take home with them (no idea what set this is) and a small LEGO set will be donated on your behalf to a children’s hospital*!

MK Centre, Milton Keynes
Saturday 18th November: 9am – 7pm, with Duncan Titmarsh
Sunday 19th November: 10am – 5pm

What ages can visit The LEGO® #BuildToGive Christmas Event?
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, but those aged 3-12 will enjoy it the most (along with grown-ups of course!). We kindly request that all children under the age of 13 are supervised by an adult at all times.

Is it a supervised event?
There will be staff on hand at the experience, but all children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The LEGO® Group accepts no responsibility for visitor supervision or visitors’ possessions at The LEGO® #BuildToGive events.

Can I take photos?
Yes, you are welcome to take photos at The LEGO® #BuildToGive Event, and can share your creations using #BuildToGive on social media.

What do I need to bring?
A big dollop of creativity and a bucket load of ideas!

#BuildToGive at Home

If you can’t make it along to one of our events but fancy getting creative at home anyway, then you can do that too!

All you need is some LEGO bricks at home and lots of imagination! Get building at home and share a photo of your fabulous festive decoration with the hashtag #BuildToGive.

For every photo uploaded we’ll also match it with a LEGO set donation*!

*In connection with the #BuildToGive 2017 Christmas Campaign, the LEGO Group will donate one LEGO® set to a child in a paediatric hospital for every #BuildToGive ornament built in a LEGO Brand Retail store, at the experiential shopping tour, or built at home and shared on social media with #BuildToGive. Children under the age of 13 must obtain parent’s permission to post to social media. #BuildToGive ornament available while supplies last. Total donation not to exceed 20,000 LEGO sets.

** LEGO gifts for builders will only be available at the Shopping Centre Tour events.

The Milton Keynes event is outside the M&S store (as it's hosted by the CentreMK), NOT the Lego store!
Anyone been to the Milton Keynes event ? Was it too busy ?
