Lego grand emporium 10211 £115 delivered from Amazon Spain

Found 30th May 2014
This is the Lego grand emporium. It usually retails for about 133 pounds, and is about to be retired (I think).
Very niche but anyone who's into Lego modular buildings probably won't get a better deal than this before it's retired.
It's actually 134 euros with a 9 euro delivery which is approximately 115 pounds.
hope this helps someone

Still 134 plus 9 shipping. You have to click on the actually Amazon link. I don't know why Amazon don't make the cheapest link( there own in this case) the go to link. strange

Has just been removed from the Hamleys redesigned website in the last fortnight or so, but it's been £120 on there for ages.

Possibly still available instore at Hamleys at £120?

The conversion from EURO to £ would probably be about £120, rather than £115 (at todays rate my bank has just quoted £119.73).

A better deal would have been with the Lego store at the weekend - £133, plus a free set 3300003 that has sold online for around £40, free TMNT Shredder minifigure, 3 free minifigure case to fill in June or July (worth £5 or so) and 133 VIP points worth £6.65 (and another bonus 100 points worth £5 if you were already VIP registered). Hindsite eh? (_;)

Oh, and it's a good set - my 4 year old has built the first floor level and that took us about 4-5 hours (it is a 16+ age set). I sort the bricks for him and he builds, with me helping on the tricky bits in the instruction.

you seem quite a clued up fella, so I was wandering if you knew of any other deals on the haunted house or any of the other modular sets. I only check Amazon for the more exclusive sets because there are sites setup to do a Lego price comparison for all European Amazon branches, and they're not stocked in a multitude of shops. I would of never check hamley's, always thought it was a sort of rrp only kind of place.
Was that give away you mentioned on the Lego store online?
Thanks for any info

I had to return all 9 I bought from Amazon Spain as parts of the 3rd floor were missing from all 9 sets! There have been known production problems with this set so, make sure you can return it without penalty. I'd buy full price from Lego TBH with VIP and 5% Quidco.

9 sets, WOW. What was returns procedure like?? You might just have scared me into buying from the UK.

Wow, bad run. I have ordered 50+ sets from overseas Amazons and never had a problem, mustve been that bad batch as you say.

So why is this set such a good one to buy 9, i don't see you sharing that deal till this op did.

Hamleys have a few stores around the UK, but I guess only the bigger ones will stock the expensive sets (don't think the Ashford one stocks many Lego sets over £25). They are usually overpriced, but I'd been checking on the Death Star price and noticed the Grand Emporium was slightly cheaper than rrp. Wasn't convinced it was that much of a deal though, but having turned down the Fire Station and Town Hall at £100 each recently before I decided I did want them to create a street scene for the kids, I thought it was worth getting. I would have bought from the Lego store otherwise, as that's a better deal.

Going to take a while to get to the 3rd floor - Lego will probably replace any missing parts from 1 set via their website (but not 9!).

Hmmmm, just looked at Haunted House... that could be a good one to put in the street scene! Not that clued up on the smaller themed sets, so only buy them if they look worth it (eg waiting for a deal on Ghostbusters) - tend to stick to City / Creator / Star Wars for my kids as there are way too many new sets every year to buy them all.

Toys r us stock some of the modular sets (used the recent Lego promo vouchers to get Pet Shop and Cinema for £22.48 instead of £239.98), as does John Lewis. It's often just a matter of looking regularly at prices or using a discount code (or stacking multiple codes) to get a better price. I get a lot of my Lego at 50% or more off by waiting and looking around, but some sets are rarely discounted.

How did you get palace cinema and pet shop for £22 please let me know as I am a Lego exhibitor and need good deals

How could I possibly share the deal when I didn't even know about this site 2yrs ago when I bought them?
