i think the items which lego want to get rid off they are giving it to John Lewis .
because in my previous post of fire brigade they had about 217 sets which finished with in a day and lego shop sold out too.

Been on sale for a long, long time.
Its one of only 3 (i think) corner shops, the others being cafe corner and the new cinema.

If youre looking to build then fair enough, if you're Thinking as an investor then i suspect the lego bubble has burst which isn't great as ive got a loft full of the stuff

hi Freezin Wolf, what makes you think the lego bubble has burst? i too collect lego as an investment. From what i can tell many sets that go EOL increase in value, although this is not universally true of course.

You just need to look on ebay to see the days of multiple bidders waging war against each other for an item are long gone.

When i first started collecting it was like a tank full of piranhas, now its more like a gold fish bowl with 1 sad fish on its last legs.

Im hoping that the disney releases of star wars reignite the market for star wars lego.

Oh yeah, just to add i think the sets grew in popularity as investors exploited the market which prompted more investors which in turn led to greater numbers being produced. All this led to the scarcity of sets being lessened.

If i get rrp back for most of my sets id take it in a heartbeat.

Ive got a few that i think should make decent money like the UCS Imperial shuttle that i bought for £140 which is fetching £400+

All my sets are sealed and in mint condition with the exception of a vw camper which i bought 2 and built 1.

Lovely piece!

Lego Batcave 6860 was selling for £60-70 two weeks ago, now it's EOL and selling for £90-100 on eBay. While the bubble most definitely hasn't burst the days of getting £1000+ for a Tower Bridge or Super Star Destroyer could be a tad wide of the mark.

All the time Lego is in very high demand I see good profits to be made. There is no reason why the right products/lines can't hit double RRP in two to three years after EOL.
