This is a pre-order for the latest Harry Potter Magical Treasury book. It has an RRP of £18.99 (the price on Amazon is £16.71), so this is a decent saving; although it's much more expensive than the RRPs of the other Harry Potter books, this is likely due to the fact it's a much more in-depth encyclopedic book and contains an exclusive to this book Tom Riddle minifigure. So this is ideal if you want to get this fig for a MOC you're making!

By the way I posted this ages ago but it was removed as it wasn’t available to preorder then. So thanks to the mods for keeping it ready for me. When I first posted it, it was £14.59 so it’s slightly more expensive now.
Looks great but the price is an "ouch"! I miss being able to get all my LEGO books cheap from The Book People.

Well most of the Lego books with a minifig go cheap (like £5) quickly. But I assume this would be different because it has an exclusive minifig, whereas the other ones are just your standard Harry Ron and Hermione?

If someone could shed some light here that would be great - I don’t want this to sell out and for me to miss out, but I also don’t want to buy it now and then feel ripped off a month later.

My assumption is that it's the up to date version of this:

amazon.co.uk/LEG…451

LEGO seem to do 2 main types of big book with minifigures: visual dictionaries and character encyclopedias. Visual dictionaries (which I think this is closest to) tend to be bigger and more expensive.

They used to come down in price when The Book People or The Works got stock: The Book People would often get them before anyone else did and then sell them for £5, The Works tends to get them after they've been out a while (if at all). It is possible that Lidl and Aldi could get stock but I wouldn't bet on it as these are DK books.

In short, I wouldn't expect to find this under £10 in some time. I've been watching this one and have never seen it below £12 amazon.co.uk/LEG…38/

Thank you that’s very insightful actually.

Had a hunt around and they look legit to me. Odd they didn’t come up when Googling it for me although I didn’t look very far. Best way to find out could be to post a deal and see if the mods take it down! If you don’t want to post one, I will but let me know

I just asked the mods and they said it’s allowed so feel free to post.

You can also use code 3GBPNB20 to get £3 off a first order over £20; you had to put in your email to sign up for the newsletter but it's let me put it in without even signing in so I think it's okay to just put it in.

Ah imma wait on this to go below £10, fairly confident Homesense/TKMaxx will have it at some point down the line they tend to get most LEGO books at some point and usually sell them a reasonably good prices.

Ok thank you, this is all new to me!
I used to think Voldemort was scary until I found out he was called Tom Riddle, hard not to laugh. Good job she didn't call him Jimmy.
