Ahh, thank you. I missed that.

Looks like a trip to Smyths this weekend (_;)
Saw this builtup on the one of the stands at Ultracon 2015 this last weekend, it's even nicer than it looks in the pics and, surprisingly for a Lego set this price, quite big.
Picked one up from legoland last week. Not built it yet but the box has a nice weight it!

I have heard there is some kind design problem with the neck in the initial release, does anyone know if this has been resolved ?

I built the Ghostbusters HQ from scratch, for my child of course (although he is only allowed to look at it as it's unique and a thing of fragility and beauty in equal measure)

I believe it's very hit and miss as to whether Lego send out some extra bits to make the neck less flimsy.

As you may know WALL·E can turn his head 360 degrees and swivel quickly and easily – that’s why he’s so good at whizzing around the planet and spotting rubbish to collect. When you build LEGO WALL·E, you’ll find that the bricks we’ve chosen let him turn his head 360 degrees. This does mean that his head moves quite freely and you might not be able to duplicate all of the poses from the film. We take a lot of care when choosing our bricks to make the best sets possible and we hope you still enjoy the building experience. The design had been checked through and approved by the quality department and our partner Disney. Also due to the “ heavy head” of Wall-E – in some poses of the head the neck will not be able to hold the pose.

There are two neck issues; one in the US (not sure exactly what it is) and one that we have here, which is that the head will very easily turn left / right, there's essentially no resistance. I've contacted Lego and have been told that this is by design.. See below. Everything else is great though - maybe you could have expected a bit more detail in the way of stickers or something, but I think it's great.

Don't forget 2% quidco or 2.1% topcashback

Just added this to this 40 year old's increasing Lego collection, Ghostbusters Car, Scientists, Lego birds and most of the Architecture sets and a bit of Star Wars
Nothing wrong with being an AFOL
