I don't know, but with lack of space, wall mounting this is fantastic for the simpsons collection, of which we have 4 left to collect.

Many thanks for the heads up on this by the way OP, great deal.

Ordered for the Simpsons figures. Many thanks OP.

Thanks op, just ordered one for the Simpsons collection

Thanks had one already needed another at a reasonable price

been looking for space saving and good looking way of displaying the series of minifigures, these officials ones look good, but seems to take up a lot of space, the best(well a balance of space saving and clear display) online imo are these ones, a whole series of 16 in one case when you put them in two rows, and stackable cases too:
http://www.brickdisplaycase.com/brick-display-case-c-1.html

http://www.brickdisplaycase.com/images/brickdisplaycase/brickdisplaycase-7.jpg

But they are so expensive to import, shipping charges, customs & vat charges, hundreds of dollars to buy the 10+ cases needed to display the series released so far, and future series too.

Anyone with other good recommendations?

Black is out of stock but red is still available for £18.31

Sixteen Simpson minifigs = approx £35 plus this case is around £50. More money than sense!

Solution? One
You can order the bricks needed to build your own stand (and thus even tweak the design and colours) from LEGO through the Pick-A-Brick service, and ask an Acrylic company to make the cover for you. I have no idea of the cost of a custom Acrylic cover, but it's worth a shot, there are several Acrylic companies on eBay and round the web.

Solution? Two
If you like LEGO, you really should download LEGO Digital Designer. From you can design a case you want there to be sure what it looks like and order the parts after you're done. You could use the Transparent Wall 1x6x5 (part number 4504228) for the wall.

I made a post about something similar a year ago, look here for some designs I came up with. You can stack them:

Out of stock, the red is still available for £18.31. Personally prefer red anyway!

Some of us do not smoke and have sense. Yes Lego is vastly overpriced, but does that mean that any of us that want to collect it (I do not as a rule, but love The Simpsons and it will be nicely collectible) have lots of money?

Some people poison their livers, others their lungs with nothing to show for money spent, at least with this in a case displayed on the wall you do.

Do what I do, ikea RIBBA frame, 2x2 sloping bricks on backboard, costs about £5, looks great! I now have over 300 minifigs!

use the bigger RIBBA frame. holds about 80 - 100 depending on spacing, they're really deep, these aren't mine, but I have 2 in with a mishmash of minifigs then the series in the little ones, big RIBBA is £8 i think and if you get a load of brinks off brink link its cheap enough

that's the problem of these official Lego cases, they look pretty good and well built, but lack of foresight from Lego themselves meaning many current minifigs(and potentially in the future) won't fit (or very difficult to fit).

whereas the cases I mentioned in my previous post have been designed specifically so even the awkward minifigs all fit, I want to display all my minifigs with all their accessories and even their original 4x3 black display bases and these cases will fit them, just a shame it'll cost so much to import. Here a good review:

http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/05/lego-minifigure-display-cases/

really tempted to import despite the price, stackable and wallhangable, I really like the way if you add more lego bricks you can display complete series of 16 minifigs in 2 rows, space saving and still get a great view of all 16 minifigs. If somebody's really tight for space the the case can even fit over 30+ minifigs:

Does anyone know for sure if Marge Simpson will or won't fit in the official Lego display cases?

Thanks

yep, shipping from overseas i.e.HK means quite high costs and also customs & vat charges, the designer/inventer/maker really should think about having a distributor in Europe/US/Aus etc where there is quite high demand for display cases for minifigs.

the quality is supposed to be very good, according to this review:
http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/05/lego-minifigure-display-cases/

as the designer is also a fan & collector of minifigs.

the designer has also started selling on ebay (mainly on the US site) and the feedback so far have been positive. But importing into the UK would be much more expensive due to the fact that we have such low customs allowance i.e. £15 limit, anything higher value meaning we get hit by customs charge, VAT, RM handling fees, where as places like US, Aus etc have much higher customs limits so all they have to worry about is just shippnig costs.

Scratcys tail fits fine - infact all the other figures are ok

Received mine today. The official one, via Prime delivery.

Marge has to be sat down, occupying the two rear rows of the stands if you wish for clearance for her to hold her Donut book.
Scratchy's tail fits fine as long as you have his legs on the first row of the stand and his axe blade twisted sideways else the blade will prevent window closure.
Abe, Milhouse and Ralph Wiggum all have to occupy the rear row of the stands if you wish for clearance of them holding their relevant newspaper, book and valentines card.
Bart has to be occupy the rear row of the stand for clearance if you wish to display him clutching his skateboard.
