Looks like a local deal

where where please???????????

These deals almost always tend to be local, have never found them cheap near me when mentioned on here. That old cliche of 'hot if you can find them!'

Good deal for the 2 people who'll find it

Mattyjones1999 -- as this appears to be a local deal only -- if you can buy and put together a full set of Series 9 and 10 for me, I'll pay you double what you pay for them instore. Deal?

Some people are so negative.
It would be nice to know which store it was found in and yes it may be a local deal, but its good to have the heads up as deals sometimes filter down through other stores.

I have NO IDEA what you're talking about. If you mean that one of these mini figures sells for £400 on ebay, I'd like to see that link.

Mr gold would. He's one of only 2000 in the whole world (or something like that). Willy wonka esque but for mini figs.

Thanks for the feedback (and you too darknessfairy) -- are you saying it's almost impossible to complete the series (not sure if this character is from Series 9 or 10) without the Mr Gold, or is it a separate mini firgure, not included in either series? Would appreciate the feedback, as I'm colelcting these for my son. Thanks.

^ There are 16 different minifigures as usual, but also a rare 17th one which is limited to 5,000 in quantity.

Did a bit of Googling ... didn't realise the 10th Series came with an additional character. Obviously I wouldn't expect that for a £1 bargainsgalore123 -- I meant the standard 16 characters.

Does anyone know if this is the final series?

apprently already on sale in poland

None in Stamford, Bourne or Peterborough.

I'd be very surprised if there's any anywhere at this price. Morrisons still has series 8 at full price.

Anybody know of good places to swap? I started a thread on here but it's very quiet.

Just went to two local Sainsburys and found some series 4, 6, 7 and 10 and they were all £2. This deal will be one store where the manager has manually reduced them and we don't even know where that one store is!

The suspicious part of my mind would suspect this deal was posted by someone in the marketing dept of Sainsburys just to get all the Lego fans to pop down to their locals to check in the hope they will pick up a few other things while they are there. We will never know, unless mattyjones1999 posts some proof of the deal that is.

I've been told before when i tried to list for a particular company all it's deals banned due to self promotion... so are HUKD going to ban all postings for Sainsburys ...

Hot deal!

Got my own Mr Gold sitting on my mantlepiece

BTW there are 5000 all numbered with a Lego certificate.

sorry! this.deal has finished now! must have been priced up wrong! but the store was in manchester

Not reduced in our local Sainsburys. Probably a local deal, though they do often reduce them in the supermarkets when a new series is out. I usually end up with 3 of the same figure whenever I buy a few at once.

The Lego bags have little bumps on them which identify which figures are in the bag - you can look the bump code up on the web - so if you don't mind 10 minutes of bag bump feeling you might be lucky and get one you haven't aleady got.

I like the Playmobil figures better myself.
