obviously you dont know your lego  and no need to shout

emergency room is a decent find, some good reductions overall.

I got the email Christmas eve as well. Took a quick look and seen a airoplane they are selling is for sale at my local Tescos where it is the same price and I get another 10% off. However, there does seem to be a few good deals.

Yeah for legoz!

Here's an example ... i got the Seaplane from Argos for £9.97 ..reduced from £17.49 RRP :

hotukdeals.com/ite…s-/

AND Lego have it on SALE price at £17.49 :

shop.lego.com/pro…=UK

Methinks Lego's RRP prices are a bit over-inflated !

Cold :

Coast Guard Platform is £30.79 from Lego. I bought th same item from Argos for £21!

Oh look ...another example .... :-D

I can definitely vouch that some of Lego's half prices are actually the RRP prices used elsewhere. I've had my fingers burnt several times in the past :x

My kids love lego but be careful about buying from lego as they ship a lot of stuff from germany and if you want to return items it will cost a fortune.

lots of good deals on lego and prices are def cheaper... fantastic... good for birthday presents...

Both argos and Lego have similar RRPs for this item.(lego £43.99, argos £44.99) It is currently reduced to £29.39 on Argos - but you might struggle to find one - none in my vicinity and not available for home delivery.

From your extensive knowledge of Lego and the use of CAPS and sizes, maybe you can let me know where I can get the following that is cheaper than the Lego shop?

Imperial AT-ST
City Harbour
Combine Harvester
Volcano Base
Ferrari FXX

Not chear anywhere else, and you would be hard pressed to even find it elsewhere.

Just noticed the OP even has a pic of a LEGO ROBBER !!! :-D

I've been keeping an eye on Lego prices for a while now. I don't consider myself to he an authority but I have concluded the following:

Sandcrawler and droid MTT are not available for less money

There always seems to be a Lego set that gets widely reduced on the rrp like the police pontoon plane. The heavy hauler was like this a while ago and I fell for it too.

The coast guard platform has been at half price at argos for a while, but is almost impossible to find, a situation that seems to be the situation a lot with Argos - in my opnion the Argos sale is less interesting than the Lego sale.

Lego is generally over priced and only worth buying when on sale. Some good deals at woolworths and amazon recently

A future suggestion to posters might be to make recommendations on the best individual deals as some people have less time than me to scan the web constantly. Then maybe the intollerant amongst us will be less miserable.

I love lego - this sale is ok so have given it some heat. But they had one a couple of months ago which looked so much better

However, for those that are using caps and formatting to make a point - please don't, it just makes your point worthless... But its like when some1 posts a play.com sale - it doesn't mean everything at play.com is cheaper than every where else that could sell it. I do have a bit of hate towards 'sale posts' without a direct example of what is mainly hot about it. But the OP has pointed in a direction of some deals - which are on sale that you cannot buy anywhere else (except flea-bay).

Basically, I'm saying - you have the information of a lego sale but you still need to do a little bit of work yourself. Any1 who has used the web for at least six months should know by that point not to take everything at face value the minute you see it. Seriously!

And by the way, Lego, especialy star wars Lego, goes for a premium on Ebay. Stock up on these deals and then sell on eBay later in the year for a healthy profit.

Your points are valid, but it is worth noting that the Coast guard platform is not half price in Argos. (and as you said is impossibble to find.)

I also buy a fair (not huge) amount of Lego - here and in the USA ( regular visits). I never buy regular Lego.co.uk prices, but what I do find laughable is the posters who come out in their sheer ignorance denouncing this sale in its entirity. Each sale item deserves a look to see if they can be bettered elsewhere. So far there are a few that don't seem to be cheaper elsewhere..

thanks

Apologies. It was half price a couple of weeks ago but it them went up. I found one at Argos in Long Eaton, but if was not easy to find, and I thnk they only had one.

Prices are okay but some of the posts here were funny.

all about christmas cheer :santa:

Dont like the look of the sandcrawler, but a good price for a 1600+ piece set of lego.

Personally I'm a way more tempted by this:

I bought grevious recently at half price. Very well designed model, for the price I recommend it.

Hi folks,
I don't post deals often but have posted Lego twice before at half rrp and got slated.
My boys love lego, thanks to hukd they have the coastguard platform at £17.49, airport at £34.99 and train set at £34.99. all from santa!
all of these sets are no way worth the rrp, they were purchased at half rrp and i still find it difficult to justify the price, they are way too expensive at rrp and half rrp.
still, captive markets and all that.

Keep posting when you find lego deals and dont worry about the moaning minnys, there are lots of members with kids and some of us without who know when lego deals are good deals.
You know that by doing your homework on the lego site and getting on the mailing list for the lego cat you can work out whats hot and whats not.

I love these!

Seriously? You think the train set at £35 is over priced? They make a loss on it at that price! :? Bloody ungrateful
