I know it's a bit late for 2014 Christmas and a bit early for 2015 Christmas but that's one present I know my son will love!

P.S. First post. Sorry but don't know how to upload the photo.

We got the Lego Movie couch to make up the £50! Not exactly a bargain but my son has been waiting for that ever since he watched the Lego movie.

Picked one up earlier for this price, just a shame I missed out on all the other great deals!

Just ordered 2 for some reason

You may find LEGO will cancel the second one, Santas Workshop is limited to one per household

Cancel that... its been increased to 5... just ordered a couple myself

Free Lego Creator Flower Cart with a £50+ spend also.

Might keep this in loft for some 20years or so and pass if on..... looks too cute to even open it.

Returning one X-Wing and buying 3 of these instead, £50 profit on each by next Christmas guaranteed.

These fetch £100 on ebay and even on Amazon. Crazy (p.s turkey and calender for that extra few quid to get the free post and flower cart)

Just because there are few dozen of them for £100 doesn't mean any will actually sell for this price, especially week after christmas.

Don't you believe it, the Lego fanatics will pay silly prices. And feedback suggests they sold some at those crazy prices too

£79 inc delivery, 3 available, 0 sold so far. Take away £7.90 ebay fees, some PP fees, £4-5 for postage and waste lunchtime driving back and forth to the post office. All that for potential £20 profit in few months from now if you're lucky.

And that's from sellers who bought it at RRP, once all those £41.99 deals are delivered ebay will get flooded with Christmas sets below £60. Few weeks after Christmas.

Good luck building business empire.

Now confirmed it's OOS (called Customer Service)

Your absolutely right. However all the previous exclusive Lego Winter sets have been out for about 14 months, before being retired. So following the trend of previous years this Santa's Workshop set will be available next Xmas then unavailable thereafter. Is then a matter of time and opinion, but I'd say in about 5 years this set will be going for serious money on fleabay. Deffo a good one for the loft!

Great deal by OP.

Cheers OP bought one and a couple of calendars

Thanks OP. Also bought Artic Crawler to bump over £50. But only bought 1 Santa's Workshop. Not greedy enough to eBay spares! Would rather others had chance to get the bargain too

The reselling Lego boat has sailed, unfortunately there are not actually an infinite number of people willing to pay an infinite amount for old Lego. It won't be going for serious money, why would people buy this and not the new Santa Village they release each year (or similar Christmas set).

As mentioned above, just spoke to cs...most of these will get cancelled as there's no stock.

However if you were to sell a 'Christmas set' in the lead up to Christmas one wouldn't be stuck trying to sell at a lower price. Next Christmas there will be no shortage of people wanting to buy this set.

Completionists is the answer to your question, plus it's the only Winter Village set to contain Santa Claus.

Does anyone know what normally happens if they run out of stock but there is more items on your order? the reason i ask is I have ordered this set and added on an item to take it over the £50 but if I don't get this set I don't want the add on item , will they cancel the whole order or send out part of it? plus I would have to pay delivery for the add on item.

thanks

Let's face it, 95% of old sets hardly make any money, especially since everyone is "lego investor" after watching couple of youtube videos these days. For every one Millenium Falcon and Green Grocer there are 50 boxes nobody wants. Just check old Star Wars sets for example, meant to be perfect investment when new movies came out, right?

I mean LEGO and Star Wars, what could go wrong? Meanwhile old X-Wing sells on ebay for pretty much the same price as it was brand new after almost a decade and so does Jabba's sailing barge. People who have no clue what they're doing should rather make extra payment on mortgage and save ££££'s on interest than dump couple of hundred in a box that might make £40 profit in few years while 10 other boxes they bought sit in dozens on fleebay below inflation adjusted RRP.

Did you not type that you bought 3 of these Workshop Lego sets? Not having a go as what you say is for the most part true, never the less many here don't care about hoarding Lego while some do and know exactly what they are doing because they have done their homework and have proven results to back up thier claims. If you don't know what you're doing you will most likely lose your shirt.

Yes and how many in the world do you suppose there are? Especially when they churn out hundreds of sets a year. Simple supply and demand, but don't let me put you off. When you're sitting on a giant pile of lego nobody will give you more than you originally paid, remember my comments.

Yes, I bought 3, one for my kid, another for friends' kid and I might put third on ebay for 15-20 profit I'll spend on a bottle of wine. It doesn't change the fact that "these fetch £100 on ebay" is simply delusional, especially when I gave you link to £79 auction nobody bought.

To make any significant profit on LEGO you have to be extremely lucky with next Millenium Falcon. Even of this set there are few for sale all the time and again - hardly anyone is buying them. Just because something is on ebay for £2000 doesn't mean it will sell. Look at the recently "skyrocketing" Green Grocer - it fetches much lower prices on auctions than overly optimistic investors offer as Buy Now option for months and months. I'm not sure if £200 profit on £100 investment from 6 years ago is really worth it considering amount of other sets that will lose money.

Let's be real, you'd have to invest thousands of pounds in really good sets to make it worthwhile. I'd rather rent a food stall and student for £4.50 per hour to get my investment back much quicker if I had that money to locate somewhere right now.

By the way, those completionists who could potentially get one are usually the same people who know LEGO inside out and buy 3-4 boxes of each hoping to sell them for profit.

I ordered two. I though it would make a much better scene taking out one santa and his mrs and sleigh and doubling up the workshop and the rest to make a really decent display with 8 reindeer for £84 and the freebie on the way as I type. No risk or investment intended. Just lovin Lego.

You don't know what you're talking about. I have many different sets that I've bought over the last year of which are currently selling for 50-100% more than I paid. So next Christmas when people are selling this set again for decent profits I'll 'remember your comments'

Don't make the mistake of confusing a fan of Lego with someone who invests in it.

They shipped my add on item and flower cart the other week but they have left the santa workshop as a live order so I guess I'll just need to wait and see, I'm not overly bothered, I went ibto the store on the 2nd and managed to pick one up aswell as tyr winter village so if this set comes through I was just gonna add it to the purchased so it had more reindeer.

Mine was cancelled today :-(. Already received the flower thingy but pi$$ poor how long it has taken them to let me know of the issue...
