Yes I know it's full price. Yes I know it's a lot of money. Yes, I know it's not the greatest set in the world. Cold Voters please leave comments!! I know you all got this set for £59.99 last week in some obscure deal in Turkey, but as far as I'm aware this is the only place to get them outside of Ebay, Amazon and abroad.

£59.99 when did that happen ?

Never, obviously.

The title should say 76042. 76032 is the set number for Avengers Quinjet City Chase which was a considerably cheaper set.

Thanks.

It's odd that Lego retired this set but still included it in their Christmas catalogue.

Lego have tagged this set as "Hard to find" in the catalogue, which means it isn't quite retired yet.

How many people buy and store these sets to sell later?

This set will NEVER appreciate in value, only a fool would invest in this monstrosity!

EXACT SAME kit, but Lepin brand (which is a Chinese knock-off, but identical in quality/size before anyone starts taking a pop at them) is just £67 delivered (including DHL premium delivery in 1 to 2 weeks)

aliexpress.com/ite…tml

So, if you are buying it to actually build it, this will save you a couple of hundred quid.

Otherwise, it just shows how much of a peace take Lego prices are once they have sold people on the "pseudo investment" angle!

Not really. Lepin don't have to pay for the research and design that have gone into making the set. If you steal someone's IP then of course you can make it alot cheaper

I am interested in how you think Lepin were able to design and manufacture this?

By stealing moulds and pigment samples from a LEGO factory. China is so corrupt that I avoid their shoddy toxic crap as much as possible. Anyway, LEPIN sets often come with missing pieces and they take months to send replacements

Do people not understand that you're not just paying for the price of the raw materials!? Lego costs more money because they pay for people and offices to design and support this stuff! Lepin, etc simply shoves enough markup on the cost of materials to make a small profit to support their manufacturing and warehousing....you'd all be amazed at just how much R&D and design costs and how long it takes for a Lego set!
