Hey folks. The Lego Shop are having a sale with some very good items reduced. Kits include Technics Fire Truck and Telehandler to the huge Starwars Imperial Star Destroyer.

Delivery also isnt bad at £3.25 - £5.25.

Bought a few technics items before xmas and even with standard delivery they were at my door within a week.

annoying that us dollar prices work out so much cheaper than uk sterling, especially considering how the dollar is so weak at the moment. how come we're so easy to fleece?

Yeah never changed regions on the site before so never noticed that. I guess its just another case of rip off Britain but at least with the money off it eases the pain ;-)

Bought a technic firetruck for my nephew's next b'day so thats one more present out the way

Nothing that exciting really?

The technic firetruck was £25 somewhere the other day including delivery (one of the DVD sites that also does other stuff, name escapes me now?)

The large batmobile was in Woolworths at £25, £10 less than the lego sale price.

There is/was some 1/2 price lego in the boots sale, don't know what they've got left but might be worth a look.

Hope that all helps?

With the cost of delivery on top of the smaller items, its really not worth it, but thanks for the info.

You got that damn right! The cheapest keychain on the English site is £2.09 for a German footballer :w00t:. They have tonnes of different (better) ones on the US site for $1.98 (0.99p). We get seriously conned in this country!

Voted hot for the Star Wars items alone because they don't get seem to get reduced that often:
Jabba's Sail Barge for £41.99 (reduced from £59.99)
Tie Crawler for £27.99 (reduced from £39.99)
B-Wing for £17.49 (reduced from £24.99)
Shame the Imperial Star Destroyer still costs an arm and a leg!

If you live near a Lego shop then it's well worth a visit at sale time too because in past years they have had 50% reductions on their sale items. Unfortunately, they are few and far between and I'm unlikely to be near one anytime soon...

If you think the UK is being hard done by, then pity the poor Danes - they gave the world Lego but they probably pay the most for it themselves! Out of curiosity, I looked at the price of Jabba's Sail Barge on the danish site and their sale price (with 25% off) comes close to the UK full rrp!

Yes very true! As a dane i can confirm that!

Can't just ship from the US site to UK?

The Lego Collectors Edition AT-ST is still £30 at Argos if your local one has stock - (www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3873117/Trail/searchtext>AT+ST.htm), it's a very good kit and well worth the money if you like Lego.

I got the wife it for xmas and she loved it, she got me the motorised Lego AT-AT which I also loved - despite both being 30+ we're still just a pair of big kids :-D
