Great price for this great collectable. Order fulfilled by amazon at €195.42 inc P&P approx £153! Currently £245.99 Lego UK website or cheapest I can see on ebay is £209ish with P&P so massive saving.

This is more for adults who are still big kids. These collectors series tend to go up in value alot when they get discontinued - just look at the millenium falcon rrp £350 now you're lucky to get a second hand one under £1500!

Hot! Vastly overpriced though and especially annoying when they cost the same in $ on the US Lego site as they do in £ on the UK one!!

Currently building the mid sized MF, I love this ship, third only to the Y-Wing and A-Wing for me. Yes its expensive but I want one! Would I get got by customs?

No t4v its shipped from europe

Original Poster

Customs will be no problem as it's from Europe. So not only is it cheaper than buying from UK or US, there are not import dutys either!

Should keep me busy over the summer - only 2503 pieces to put together!

Damn you all, I've ordered it

Its just a case of finding somewhere to put it (and all the others) as thats the only reason I'm being moaned at for ordering it.

Now I want a Super Star Destroyer cheap please...... better give it 6 months.

I wonder how you get inside.....

#1 find a shrink ray

#2 ....

i want i want i want but no money sob sob sob

voted hot though

Maybe I'm being a bit fussy, but the Imperial Shuttle was from the Return of the Jedi, so why is there a clone trooper on the box?

(Must get out more!!!!)

Hot deal btw

I made the mistake of visiting lego land the other day - their star wars displays were amazing. I then made another mistake of just having a browse on what was on offer! My Mrs doesn't know yet! Would love the Millenium Falcon that has been discontinued for a couple of years - that set has 5195 pieces!

Had to buy one. Thanks for the post.

surreal post, for many reasons

Got mine a few weeks ago while it was EUR 184.97 + delivery

Soooooo tempted ! But can't justify it, even though it's an absolute steal !

just ordered one just hope the instructions are in english because the amazon email is in italian.

There is no language used in the instructions just diagrams so you'll be fine

cheers for that mentalmike

No sure where this £1500 Millenium Falcon is, they're not even over £100 on the bay, auctions ending in less than 24h

Thats the current mid size set (which I'm 3/4 thru at the mo) look for Lego set 10179, the set you're looking at has 1500 pieces, set 10179 has over 5000!

I thought the ones I was looking at looked slightly overvalued at that price! That other one does look awesome.

I remember Matt Stone talking in an interview about his Lego Star Wars models saying he loved doing them to keep his mind busy but easy enough to do, just following build instructions - always looked good to me and this looks quality.

Do most pieces become collectable and add value? Is this likely to be an investment or just something for if you have disposable cash?

I collect Lego and i doubt this one will go up in value unless your … I collect Lego and i doubt this one will go up in value unless your prepared to wait about 20 years.. Yes some sets are £1000s BUT they are the Ultimate Collectors sets which start out at £200+ retail (hence why not alot of people bought those) Id pass unless you actually want it.

Ah okay, makes sense. Though I did think this was an ultimate collector's edition (as per title and RRP)?

It is a collectors edition:
starwars.lego.com/en-…spx

The elegant Lambda-class Imperial shuttle transports the Empire’s elite – and the occasional secret strike team of Rebel commandos – all across the galaxy. Now you can build this huge and iconic Star Wars vehicle in true minifigure scale for the first time ever! Authentically detailed from its rotating double laser wing cannons to its four-seat cockpit, this Ultimate Collector’s model features an opening canopy, detachable landing gear, a stand for display in flight or landing modes, a labeled display plaque, and gear-driven folding wings with removable activation keys. Completed model measures 28 inches (71 cm) tall on stand and 22 inches (57 cm) wide with wings deployed. Includes Darth Vader, Shuttle Pilot, Imperial Officer, Stormtrooper and Luke Skywalker minifigures.

But as with most things you can't guarrantee it'll go up in price - you can buy it now and sell it on ebay for more than this seeing as there is currently a used one going for £157. I'll be building mine though and if it's worth more in the future well lucky me!

Excellent find! At nearly £100 less than the Lego site retails this is worth getting just to keep in the box and sell on ebay once the model's discontinued. I'm still going to make it cos i love the collectors models. You won't find a Lego bargain like this easily, if you're considering it then don't hang about, you'll regret it.

Now €189.99, approx £148.72.

OoooOOO. Got. Most expensive Lego set I ever bought. Wonder if the writing on the box will be in Italian.

nope... still the same price. Youve not factored in the P&P.

Ordered. Im going to have to curb the LEGO star wars spending now before it gets out of hand.

No it won't

Hot. So you just use your regular Amazon account and fudge through the options in Italian?
Does REGNO UNITO mean UK???!!

Original Poster

It means united kingdom. When I did my order I had an amazon uk window open as well and went through the checkout process on both sites all the way until the last step just to make sure I had all the correct things ticked or un ticked and only completed the italy order.

Ah good plan mm. Thanks. Really don't need to spend this money though!
