This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Price match is against Argos. Not enough stores imo have dropped their prices on this model. Some might want to purchase from JL over other hight street retailers. Be sure to follow these basic steps in the price match form.

1. Fill out the form here.
2. In the extra info section be sure to mention that "STAR20" voucher code is publicly avalilable to everyone here. And that the discount is available until next week. So plenty of time over the weeknd to get this sorted.
3. Home delivery wasnt available for me but click and collect was from their stores (JL, Waitrose).
4.Profit

JL wont show the drop in price on their website. You, the customer are telling them that you found the same product cheaper elsewhere and they price match it based on the info you provide.
Has to Benin stock though for them to match doesn't it?

I was offered the price provided i collected. Delivery to my home wasnt an option because Argos were only offering a click and collect option. John Lewis price matches basically mirrior what the competitor is offering.

That’s the John lewis model
- don’t be the cheapest, just copy other retailers
- make customers jump through hoops to get a price match
- they are very regularly “knowingly” undersold

Never knowingly undersold, just ignorant as hell

£83 at Argos

Not if you apply the discount code as mentioned in the description
I’m going to cool this one.

JL aren’t doing it at this price and jumping through hoops with themisn’t ideal.

do appreciate the angle / intention though of the OP. Just not a clear cut deal.
Good price just a bit of effort needed by you guys if you want to save any more money on it. well done op

On that basis, should every deal have a second post showing that JL could do a price match?

because that’s what this post is (though the OPs effort with the detail is nice, their heart is clearly in the right place)

Has not expired. Is active until at least Tuesday next week.

Urm? But you can price match anything from anywhere if John Lewis sells it so really its not as great of a deal as you make it. its just much simpler to get it from where you wish to price match it from tbh. I've used the Price Matching thing at JL multiple time and it required me having to go to the top floor to talk to a member of Customer Services which usually takes a good 10 mins to get served and after a while you get bored of it. Never used the Click & Collect service, so it could be easier but I doubt it.

Also there are catches to the price matching if the place your PM with is sold out online and if the store which your PM have stores and no local branch of them has them in stock they will deny the price match.

But at the end of the day this is what I've experience.

I wouldn’t even give john lewis my money if there being that stuck up about it.
They wonder why sales are down when they make it such hard work to price match... might as well save your time and just get it where its cheaper in the first place

There's many reasons why someone would rather buy from JL. I did it because I had some credit there. I filled out the form, replied to their email the day after and then arranged a click and collect. Wasn't any trouble via this method. Experiences may vary in store but that's the case for retail in general.
