Who is voting this hot? A great deal except you can't actually buy it.

That's probably because ones who voted it hot probably bought it?

Hardly, it's been out of stock since yesterday when I actually tried to take it through the checkout. Bet you didn't take it as far as the checkout out though, eh? Another cheap heat accumulating tactic at the expense of an item that isn't actually available.
I voted hot - purely based on the price. Already own it so didn't need to go right through to the checkout stage. Nobody has time to do that for everything they give an up vote to!

That logic makes no sense. So you're basically saying if Tesco advertised an Xbox One X for £300 then ran out of stock so couldn't physically sell it anymore, that it's a great deal? The flaw here is that Tesco notoriously continues to show out of stock items as still available to buy UNLESS you actually sign in and try to check out. I'm aware of no other retailer who does so, but it's a cold hard fact. It's a deal if it's available. If it's not, how the hell can you buy it?

No, I should have been clearer. I voted hot, because I saw the price. I didn't have cause to take it through the checkout - had I done, I'd have realised it wasn't available, and voted cold instead. Can't change a vote though!

Fair enough, it's not your obligation to ensure the deal actually works - that duty belongs to the person who actually posts the deal. I'm 100% confident they didn't take it as far as the checkout (you don't need to buy it, just add to the basket and sign in). So what then happens is people end up with false hope that an item can be bought at that price, when they have no chance. I did literally try to purchase this for someone yesterday and found it was out of stock. It's unlikely Tesco will restock it again as they tend to clear out older games to make way for the newer ones. Meanwhile, the poster here gets free heat for no real reason.

The fact that you can't change your vote is understandable but very annoying.

Heat means nothing though, I wouldn't worry. It's not something that accumulates, you earn nothing from it, no rewards or prizes. As soon as a deal is expired, it disappears off any 'hot' list.
Bloody Tesco is at fault. Useless system
Seems to happen a lot
