After spying the Death Star Deal I went looking for other Star Wars Lego Models. The Death Star looks a little under-whelming for the money. So when I came across the Super Star Destroyer I was gob smacked.
It contains over 3000 pieces, weighs about 3.5Kgs and measure just over 4 foot long.
All I need to do is modify the wife's display cabinet for it to fit.

As part of the Lego weekend special. Spend over £100 get free delivery, 10% off and a free Christmas model kit. The 10% discount shows in the basket.

Rats I meant to add it, thanks.

Good spot but what bugs me with these sets is that the US price is exactly the same in dollars and, sometimes even cheaper before converting to UK £, meaning we get gouged big style. Heated though if you can't buy from the US.

OMG i saw the look in my partners eyes when i mentioned how much the death star set was and her reaction, let's just say her expression was about as pleasant as looking into the eyes of the grim reaper. Think if i even showed the slightest bit of interest in buying this set at over £300 my HUKD days or infact any days for that matter would be numbered oO Man or a mouse? Squeak squeak lol.Whilst she's not looking this is an awesome set!

To anyone thinking of buying this: Instead of spending £300 on 3000 pieces of moulded plastic which assemble into an unusable 'toy', you could give the money to a childrens charity.

Just a thought.

Yes they could but so could anyone who drives an over powered car they don't need, buy a smaller car and share the difference etc.

Or spend on much needed therapy. Or a woman (fake or real, just not lego).

@blahnblah don't be an idiot, you could say that about every single toy on here.

Instead of acting holier-than-thou on an internet message board, you could use your time volunteering for a local children's charity.

Just a thought.

Blahnblah: Are you a big giver to charity? Does the same thought process apply everytime you think of buying anything? Why buy Heinz beans when you can buy Aldi's and stick 30p in the next charity collection for every tin of beans you buy etc?

The spirit of this site is to make people aware of a product at a cheaper than usual price so that they can take advantage of it and save themselves some money. Who knows, maybe the savings they make allow them to be more charitable?

Personally I think the Death Star is a much better buy. As much as I like Star Wars lego, i'd never spend out on this, it's one of the blandest looking ships in the SW universe, and it is massive - 1.25m long! US prices vs UK prices can be a joke for Lego - This one is £350 vs $399 (£257) RRP. Some of the other sets do seem to have a $1.50:£1 pricing ratio, which is fairer. If you want this particular set it is as good as you're going to get itunless you've got a US visit coming up. Gathering all the pieces together to make a UCS Millenium Falcon at the moment:)

"what a beautiful ringsys" i mean star destroyer, dont forget the super!
