Iam not sure what UK price will be like, but since Euro RRP is 189.99, i assume 171,80 EURO is a good price, as i wouldnt expect anything less at the release day, and around £170 in UK. Price of £146.04 is based amazon conversion, so You could get it even cheaper with some payment cards.

Set will be released on 27.12.2017

Update:
Price dropped to 159 EURO dellivered!

That is so cool. It's too expensive, too big and I have nowhere to put it but I must have it.

Give it a few months that will be on amazon for £100 -£120. Rule of thumb is all Lego sets will be reduced between 25-50%. Including ucs. If your willing to wait a bit
I seen RRP stated as €142.99 🤔

You Might be right...:/ So confused as its seem too good price for set this size. Maybe its not a good deal after all:)

prospekte.metro.de/non…e/1

Lets hope amazon.de will price match on this:)
Cooling added as set number is 42078 not 40278

Cooling added as RRP is £129.99 and is widely avaialable within weeks.

Cooling added as Amazon/eBay scalpers are trying to rip you off for something that is NOT in stock.

OP... You FAILED to do your homework!

HUKD... Expire this ridiculous misleading offer!

Get Lost. Read my previous post. Dont see how mixed set number is a cooler? You are right about RRP, but as i said already, i could be wrong. I did my homework, but obviously copied set number from amazon website leaded to less information. I never mentioned ebay, and anyone ordering is covered by amazon preorder price promise. SO yes... cool down.

Of course a mixed up set number is a cooler, as some poor dimwit (like you) will probably be misled thinking it's something else entirely. Accuracy of posts on here is paramount as hundreds of LEGO fans will be reading them. It's obvious to most that eBay scalpers will be out in force try to make a profit on something they DON'T have! Can't people just be thorough and honest for once? Happy Easter by the way (I don't do Xmas!).

What on earth are you talking about? Isnt it just easier to say "op you made mistake in model number"?

TabbyBoy, you must have eyes to see the picture that was posted with the post, the fact you've spotted the mistake says everything. Maybe next time try and help suggest an amendment rather than be negative and have a go.
Ordered mine. Price dropped to £146.04 just received 10 mins ago. Well chuffed
