Great game.
Just a heads up, this game crashes a lot in co-op mode for the switch!
hey I'm new to switch what games would people recommend . I like first person shooters or like open worlds. I've just got mario+rabbits as it's on offer to try it seems good but different are all of the Mario games like that ?

I think YouTube is your friend. A lot of switch games are described as being like game 'x' but with a twist.... Its much easier to watch a clip and get a feel for the game.

Not too many fps titles on switch. Which is a shame as that's my favourite genre also. People recommend Splatoon 2, but it's FPS not about shooting people, but about shooting your environment to change the colour, similar to a death match the person who colours the whole environment wins.

For open world either Super Mario Odyssey or Zelda BOTW are your best bet. Though assassins creed 3 is also on sale as a download atm.

I view 'normal games' that are available on other platforms as things to buy on xbox, and the switch is for Nintendos own games and any indie games that come up in the sales. You might want a 'normal' game on switch if you can see yourself playing it out and about......

Watch - many switch ports aren't as good as the xbox/PS4 versions.... Read some reviews of the witcher 3 to get a feel for the kind of compromises that get made even in a 'successful' port. I've bought my son lego worlds for xmas, but Ive since read that the switch version is barely playable.

If you like FPS and open world games... you've kinda bought the wrong console. All the Switch really has in those genres is stripped-down versions of games that are better on PS4 / XB1 / PC. Shooter-wise there's ports of Doom and the last two Wolfenstein games. Open-world, there's Skyrim and The Witcher 3, as well as Zelda Breath Of The Wild.

Mario-wise, the Rabbids game is completely different from any other Mario game. Odyssey is a 3D platformer, while New Super Mario Bros is an old-school 2D one. Mario Maker 2 allows you to create your own Mario games, and is great fun.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Switch, but that's because I love platformers, weird indie games and Zelda.
