Gutted they’ve sold out of Assembly Square, I’d have gone for that with something else to make it up to £200 then flogged the extra set on eBay.

What are John Lewis like for packaging up Lego these days? had some a couple of years ago that was wrapped in a bag and the box was destroyed.

Odd, it shows OoS on the list view, but when you click through it is in stock.

Anyway, thanks for that, I’ve ordered it!

Did you get a particular refund? Or did you have to return it?
Bought in-store at Smyths with £50 off only a few weeks ago. This isn't bad if you couldn't use that deal
Nice one, just ordered the Parisian Restaurant and the Saturn V.

The taj mahal I bought from them came in a brown lego box
Very tempted but hoping this will get down to £200 or less at some point.

Thats the fake rubbish, not the good stuff.

Yep but far cheaper, and the bits I have had of aliexpress have been high quality just as good as the real plastic lego

But its still fake, id prefer to give it to the legitimate company who spent the time and money developing and making the set and not the chinese fakes that just copy LEGO's hard work with cheaper materials and no care for the set.

They've only ever replied to Lego deals with links to knock-off sets so I wouldn't bother. Not to mention the fakes are such a false economy in that yes they're cheaper but are worth absolutely nothing by the time you want to move on from it. With the legit sets, when you do want to move on from them, you can sell them off to a shop that takes them and get back most of what you spent, even after opening them and enjoying them.
I’m trying to make my order up to 200 plus. What’s a good set that’s around the 60-40 range to sell on?
One of the Ideas sets? Do they have Friends or the Flintstones?

Everything I've ordered (not Lego to be fair) has always been in decent cardboard boxes

Same, built it last week, now to find somewhere to display it!

I've got such a backlog! How was the build? I'm a little wary that it's not as uniform as the modulars so wasn't sure how nicely I could display it
