Found 3rd Jan
Last chance to grab this set. It's no longer being made by Lego and sold out in most other retailers too.

this is below RRP and last chance to get it at a good price.

a few deals in the run up to Christmas were cheaper but all that stock is gone and this is harder to find now

This was £38 in store in the Lego shop (metrocentre) 5 days ago if this helps.
Sold out and retired Lego online. Any Lego shops that have a few left will be £38.50 but they are nearly all gone. None in the lego shop I visited yesterday.
Loads in Brighton Lego store a few days ago
There were dozens in Milton Keynes the day the sale went live, but none yesterday.
Loads In lots of stores still.
Paid under £30 for this before xmas
Loads at Metro Centre store yesterday at 38.50
Most of the TRU stores that aren't slated for closure have lots of these
Will have to check the Lego store in Leicester Square when passing later today - I’ve wanted one for ages but suddenly seems twice as appealing now retired

Thanks for sharing!
Tesco have rarely discounted this set unlike other retailers even Lego themselves are selling it much cheaper.Tesco have been very poor at Lego discount this year,so I for one will buy it anywhere but Tesco.
Probably be worth in excess of £100 in a few months

Probably not, the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 has been a slow burner and I'd expect this to be the same. I still have 3 of them though!

Speculating to accumulate?

I think Lego know people do this nowadays and make loads more of "Limited Edition" models, knowing some folk will invest, especially after Lego was reported to be a better investment than gold a few years ago.

So IMHO, I think that ship may have sailed in all fairness.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lego start "Unretiring" more sets after seeing the Taj Mahal (10256) being brought back from the dead @ £299.99 (direct from the Lego Shop. LOL

I wonder how many of the old version are sitting in lofts waiting for the "Right Time".

You can't blame Lego for this and they probably think, they may as well start selling the model for £300 again when they see speculators trying to sell the old version Taj Mahal (10189)for £1200.

If you were after one and didn't have some form of OCD, which would you buy?

Now just waiting for the "Lepin" brigade to jump in and say theirs is cheaper @ £2.50, to which I'd say you are welcome to your cheap Chinese knock-off sh17e, bur it is not the same.

(Now I've got it stuck in your head too!)
Ordered thank you 😊
Researched this set before Christmas , it's pretty unique in that it's a pop music zeitgeist set.

Tesco still have plenty at £47 even though its retired,so will be a very very long wait.
As a huge fan of both The Beatles and Lego, surprisingly I gave this set a miss - even at £38.50. It's not a very appealing set, bar the 4 minifigs. There have been loads of these sold and it's been regularly reduced to try and shift it. eBay will be flooded with them for years to come and I'd be surprised to see many going for over £50, which after fees isn't exactly a great investment

I don't like it either. I've wavered a few times when it's been around £30, but each time I look at it I decide against it. I just wouldn't want to build it, let alone display it and it's been a really poor seller and no chance of it being an investment, even at £30. I'd be willing to bet we see at near £30 again before stocks run out

Why didn't you buy them all as you'll make £2-3 on each one by next Xmas?
I buy lego not as an investment but becuase I like the models and I don't reckon much to the Yellow Submarine. I was just passing on my observations to anyone that might be interested in buying one for whatever reason.
